There were several recalls early on for us 22's. Another member recommended a different dealer that had a good Mobile Service Advisor. I emailed him the Tech Bulletins and asked for service. He didn't know anything about the recalls but with the info I e-mailed him was able to schedule me without shenanigans.Typical dealership shenanigans. Either way, worst part of the recall is going to be just being without the truck! I'm a recent trade up from a Model Y and love this friggin thing.
Thanks Grumpy. I’m still new to searching and probably just missed it in this thread, but I even tried google. Do you have a link where I can find the notice you’re talking about?I would recommend you print the notice and take it in to the dealer.
Got the same story from my dealership. They told me that they had to charge it to 100% and run some diagnostic tests to see if the battery or any modules would need to be replaced. Said that the truck would be there for awhile and that a loaner would not be available.Hello All. Joined up just to toss some notes here for this recall effort.
Called the dealer to schedule service immediately once I saw parts were available. Despite the nice encouraging notes from @bmwhitetx I got the typical following response when I was setting the appointment:
But, I need pro power to power our radio stations for Field Day next weekend. So June 30th it shall be.
- Unknown if they could order parts in advance, they would "have to get in there" to see before anything could be ordered
- Unknown how long it would take
- They'd "try" to get me a loaner

Order and receive modules/battery by specific VIN by contacting the Ford Special Service Support Center (SSSC) prior to the service appointment. Additional materials such as heat shields will require inspection of the opened battery prior to ordering.
Dealers are pre-approved for up to three days for a comparable rental vehicle.
Perhaps your life will be easier at another dealer.
My shop manager said they had to charge it up to %100 then take the battery off and test it. I think I’ll Bring it to them with 5% charge so they can spend nine hours charging it up! ? ill have a loaner from them.My dealer insists that they need to verify the problem before they can order parts. All the long saying I have the problem. i challenged them on that but it was like talking to a brick wall. They are going to pick it up in the morning and test it tomorrow. And then order parts. What a Crock! Ford can already state 9 out of 950 require full battery replacement but then say they need to verify my problem. It would seem if you can identify 9 you would also think they know pretty much what has to be done to every individual truck. But what the hell can i do? The answer is nothing. And they say FORD requires them to do this or they can’t order parts.
There was a period awhile back that certain modules were in short supply. It is good they are allowing you to use the truck, many folks over the last couple of years have reported their truck sat at the dealer for weeks waiting for a module. I am confused, however, with this statement and your title of Electrode Misalignment.
Is this the language on the work order?
