System off to save battery?

Fun fact - this isn't new and it isn't EV-specific. If you don't drive a lot, you won't keep the 12v charged up. Either a) drive more, or b) get a Battery Tender. I got this message on my 2013 a year after getting it, and the service manager told me exactly that. I put it on a Battery Tender, and the message never appeared again UNTIL the battery failed after 6 years. I had both the Lightning and the Mach-E batteries tested by the dealer (free) right before the 3 year warranty ended and the Lightning failed, so I got a new one free.

If you do a replacement, or have one done, check the age in Car Scanner. My dealership did NOT reset the BMS, so I did.

I won't complain about other car companies but as for my Lightning, this LVB issue really stinks. Ford needs to fix it. Twice this week I tried to use FordPass to warm up the vehicle. Neither time could I use it because the LVB was shut down. I've never had a complaint about my Lightning until now. this is $#$#$%#. My truck is in a carport plugged into a FCSP. Why should the LVB shut down. there are no excuses for this. FORD, FIX IT!

OH NO!!!! You are saying I should have had a 110 volt outlet installed next to my 80 Amp 230 volt Ford Pro charger so I can plug in a 12 volt trickle charger?

I expected Ford was smart enough to charge the 12 Volt battery from the truck battery while it is plugged in even if the main truck battery is at target charge (80%). Can they fix it with a software update?

Just being plugged in won't do anything. It needs to be actively charging to top up the 12V.
