In the United States Tesla makes their Charging Pods at their Buffalo NY factory (GigaBuffalo).

That factory has excess space and can expand production, which is a good thing.

Not sure where they build their DCFCs in Europe...besides China.

Press release says "independent EV charging network" so it won't be controlled by Tesla. I suspect Tesla might be charging for running the software backend though.

As the press release says, first one was BP. But this deal is not in the US...
