Tow haul mode comes on by it self

My truck goes into tow haul mode when there nothing in the bed I don’t think I have the scales .
I do have a retax cover which is heavy and rear racks
Any fix or does this happen to others ?

No, weight loads in the bed do not trigger the drive mode or range adjustment, is there anything connected to the trailer wiring connector?

Nothing connected
It just comes on out of blue normally after I drive somewhere then go on a Pitt stop turn on truck in tow mode

Go into the towing menu, delete all custom trailers if you have any.
Make sure that no trailer attached option is also selected.

Other than these double checks, I have no idea why you're experiencing this.

I haven't hooked up my trailer yet, does it switch to tow mode on connection? If so, I'd check out the wiring harness to the plug, wasn't there also a recent failure of a trailer control module? Can't seem to recall the symptoms, just remember seeing it.

Agree…possible rodent damage to the wiring.

Yes, if electrical, check the trailer turns signal harness wiring and plugs, etc,
