There is limited space in my garage, and my charge port is on the right side of the vehicle, and that's the side I enter the garage.

To unplug the charge cable I either have to walk around the truck and unlock the car with the driver door, or fish out my key and press the button. I loose at least 4 seconds every day doing this. Passenger side is inaccessible.

Why can't the car unlock the charge cable when I press the button, keeping the key in my pocket? Why do I need to unlock the doors first?

Can this be changed with Forscan?

Your charge port is on the passenger side?? I have a 24 lariat and I can unlock with PAAK or key fob in my pocket from any door but you shouldn’t even need to do that. The only time I need to unlock the doors in order to unplug is when I’m DC fast charging.

don't get you at all. First of all, the lightning charge port is on the drivers side. and with the key in your pocket the drivers side door will unlock as soon as you touch it. and second, if are getting into the truck your standing right next to the charge port.

He is in Europe. His truck is different than yours.

Yes, this an Europe issue only. Locking home charging coupled with wrong side of vehicle.

Ah yes. European models. Didn’t think of that. My apologies as well. There should still be no need to unlock the truck in order to unplug though? Are the trucks different in that aspect?
