Installed Tremor Running Boards (from F-250)

I didn't care for the look of the stock running boards so, I swapped them out for the tremor version. For those with a keen eye, I did install them backwards. I prefer the look and it does look much better overall. Easy straight swap and these came off of an F-250.

I got them off of eBay. There's a shop in Houston that sells takes off from folks that get power boards. The following are an example from the same shop I got them from. I was unable to find anything quickly on the forums I'm with:

I did the same thing today but I managed to put the front top screws on the frame out of place for the bracket and cannot secure the nuts. Did you have any issues installing?

I had no issues with things lining up but the top bolt for the front bracket on the driver side did come loose behind the sheet metal and tried to spin around on me. I had to hold and start the nut and I was able to grab the threads and tighten with a ratcheting wrench.

Boards look great. I agree with the decision to reverse them.

Do you think front mud flaps would have any interference with the install of these boards in this orientation?

Thanks! I don't think so. There's about 3-4 inches of space in front of the board and to me looks like plenty of room for mud flaps.

Looks great !!! The first thing I changed on mine was the running boards. I was always slipping on the stock ones, my foot just didn't fit well on them i guess.

Looks good, sir! I was also slipping on the way out. The new boards appear to tuck up closer to the cab by a bit so now when I get out my foot lands right on them. I'll have to get used to that. My 18 has power boards so I'm acclimated to their height going in and out.

I had power running boards in the Tundra I just traded in for the Lightning. I loved and hated them, I was always having to tell people to watch out as those things were always flying out and hitting people in the shin lol

Lol. Yeah I've had instances in which I was stepping on too early when they weren't fully deployed or even getting out. Took some getting used to.
