Not to add another “slow down” comment, but as a fellow California commuter that 80mph is rough( and I drive the 5 between San Diego and OC where minimum speed is 80). My MYP is no better at that speed. In fact I think overall my Lightning does better than my MYP given I have 1000 lbs of tools in it.

I can confidently say that if nothing else, it ain’t gonna be a $40k truck.
It also got delayed again today. Not due for mass production until 2024. I have a feeling it's going to be plagued with issues.

I keep saying a lot of Tesla owners who get their Cybertruck will be in for a rude awakening. Or will Musk surprise us ?
Well I still have an early reservation, but figure the Lightning will be about 8 years old by the time my reservation comes up. ?

it didn't get delayed again today. it's on track to start production by end of summer 2023 with mass production next year.

Yesterday , 50 degrees, 43 miles, average speed 64 mph, with some stop and go, climate and heated seat on and off. I got 2.4 mi/Kwh. I can hypermile around 3.2 if I am careful.
When I get the happy feet and do 80, I have seen as low as 1.5 But your numbers are slightly lower than mine. I am guessing due to tires.

1.7mpk seems right for AT tires and speeds over 75.

Woah - this thread turned sideways quickly. I wasn't trying to bash my f150 and be a Tesla Fanbois. I am honestly trying to find if others are finding regular driving resulting in such lower range vs EPA estimates when not in extreme conditions. I thought maybe blue cruise was inefficient. Bad software etc. I really like my f150 and I like it better than the Rivian.

Btw. FWIW my Tesla X is almost 7,000 pounds (6200) and yes I used it as a truck :)
Towed thousands pounds of fruit, multiple barrels.
And... once used it to tow a stuck forklift out.

Has anyone done a test on Range impact of the AT vs AW tires? I couldn't really find a concrete answer on my searches.

Did your Tesla have All Terrain tires?
Yup - that's what I am trying ti figure out.

My real goal is to go down the 101 in CA 200miles from my house to the ranch. I figure over time battery degradation will go down 10 to 15% so I will need to go 220 to 230 miles plus I found out the hard way that at 5% the ford stops going full speed and can't be on highway. Also always charging to 100% wears batter down faster.

I am supposed to get 320/270miles. thus I figured I would have plenty of headroom

So if it is the AT vs. AW tires reducing my range by 10% then maybe I am ok. When the battery degrades by 10% my tires will probably need to be replaced and I can switch to AW and get that range back.
