Just visited my dealer and test drove their Lariat demo. SWEET! But the trade in offer on my 22 MMe isn't high enough for me to make the deal. When GM comes online next year, and Ram follows, prices should drop.
If I can get a good offer from Carmax or other, I may swing it. Otherwise I'll have to keep driving the MMe - which isn't a bad thing.

That's BS.

I thought a shipped notice means it left that parking lot and onto some sort of transporter? Ford really needs to do a better job of this "Order Status" system.

For a lot of us, it shipped immediately on rail to another loading location that changes hands and goes to a vehicle hauler. This is where something is going on and our trucks are just left in a parking lot with no updates besides being on a "hold" status. Our dealers are getting daily deliveries of transit vans and ICE f150s, but not our lightnings...

Ford currently has a nationwide stop shipment on Lightnings while they troubleshoot a potential technical issue that came up during some pre-delivery inspections. Appears related to a battery module component. They do not have a timeline for resolving or releasing already built vehicles at this time so trucks will be sitting until they give transport companies the all clear or address the larger technical issue once it is determined the cause.

At this time it appears that the majority if not all Lightnings at yards and not at a dealership are being held. No other information from Ford…yet. The stop shipment went into place early last week. Your dealer may be able to check with the carrier to confirm that they are not able to pick it up right now. My ‘23 Lariat ER was supposed to delivered 12/26/22 and is still sitting at Dearborn 59. Carrier tried to pick it up on Thursday 1/26 and Ford was already holding keys and not releasing trucks.

Ford corporate and a carrier for Ford have both independently confirmed the stop shipment.

I tried to talk to the carrier but where I'm not a dealer they wouldn't talk to me. Seems odd if something is possibly wrong with the trucks they'd be left in a parking lot instead of taking them to a dealership.
