Something happened where I could not access charging schedule with the Fordpass app.

It also has not been logging 'charge logs' since last Friday (Monday now. Only now discovered)

It became a real f-ing problem today. I purchased a couple light towers and had to transport them to the jobsite and was low on juice when I got home. But there was no way to start charging because it was still trying to wait until the normal charge schedule.

NOTE:

-Turned on charging on truck screen. DID NOT REDGISTER IT WAS CHARGING ON PHONE *EXCEPT it would show the % increasing increase as it charged.
-All permissions granted on the phone app AND on the truck.
-Deleted app and reinstalled (no change. Huge PITA setting up PAAK and password crap)

Using Galaxy S21 ultra.

Please.....I need help!!!!! VERY frustrated.

So you were able to get the truck to start charging by changing the settings in the truck itself?

The issue as it stands right now is FordPass not showing you the right stuff, not that you can't charge? Just want to understand correctly

Check your truck modem functionality by going into the Connectivity screen. Check WiFi and see if you can see local WiFi networks. If not, it may be your modem is hung causing FordPass connectivity not to work. (The modem uses WiFi and/or cellular but if the modem is hung, it won't see WiFi networks)
This may be caused by an update that didn't go as planned. If it has been a few days, then it is unlikely it is still trying to update.

If your modem is not working:
  1. First - Reset sync by holding the volume-down and skip-right buttons at the same time on the steering wheel for about 10 seconds until the sync screen restarts (with the truck on Accessory or ON). Check if that solved the issue.
  2. If that doesn't work, and connectivity has been out for at least a day or two, try pulling fuse 32 on the right side wall on the passenger side. This is the modem fuse and will power cycle the modem. Replace the fuse about 30 seconds later. (only do this if you have been hung for more than a day or two since pulling the power while it is trying to update can kill the modem). Check if connectivity to FordPass is restored.
Let us know if this works.

As @Pioneer74 stated, the Truck is the more reliable source to get things going. If you are having trouble getting it to ignore the preferred times, just delete the location in the Truck, then plug back in.

Just an update when you or someone else has this issue.

Ford F-150 Lightning Fordpass. Need help ASAP on

Here is a screenshot of my phone. As you can see, 'charging' only has 3 choices. None of them are 'preferred times.'

Ford F-150 Lightning Fordpass. Need help ASAP 2

Preferred times is now back on the Fordpass app. Weird right?

Well it all has to do with this:

Ford F-150 Lightning Fordpass. Need help ASAP 3

The setting that says: 'Share Driving data'.
If this is unchecked, it removes the 'preferred times' choice on the Fordpass app. Now I could go on to say that the info box says: 'Does not affect app.' And also say that I am 99.9999999% sure that somehow mine was switched off from the recent update (had a DL failure and had to re-start update download. And I NEVER f- with any of this stuff.)

But whatever the case, switch off 'Share driving data', and you will lose the ability to schedule charging on the Fordpass app. Doesn't make sense to me either but it works now, and that was the fix.

GOod luck, and thanks for all the advice.

you will lose the ability to schedule charging on the Fordpass app.
Do you mean scheduling a "Departure Time" in FordPass? I do not see any way to set a charging schedule in FordPass.
I am allowing/sharing all the Privacy settings for Connectivity in the truck, and yet I do not see "Saved Location" in FordPass "Preferred Charge Times", even though Home location and scheduled charge times are set in the truck.

Try setting up the initial charging schedule in the truck via the sync screen.

From there you should be able to see it and edit it in Fordpass.

Departure times is in another area of the app.

You should be able to schedule charge times, and different settings based on saved charge locations.

It's been a while since I set that screen up on my phone, but maybe try logging out and back in. Also confirm in the truck they are saved locations.
And if you go to your charge logs, make sure they have a name.

Once the app has charge locations you can setup times to charge, percentage to charge to, etc.

Can you show your FordPass Preferred Charging Times and Saved Locations screen, and then in FordPass what the charging schedule looks like (should be a duplicate of what is on the display in the truck?). Thx!

Yes... the lay out is a little different in the truck as you know.

One thing to watch for is screen zoom and font size, if you're like me and finding it hard to see without readers on, the upper levels of screen zoom & font obscure some of the elements on the screen lay out.

Thank you for your screenshots. Maybe my XLT model does not communicate its Preferred Charging Times from the truck to FordPass like a Lariat? My screen in the truck for charging location and time setting (only for Home) looks like this:
Ford F-150 Lightning Fordpass. Need help ASAP IMG_20231026_161721207 home charging location settings

So why would my FordPass App not show the same info for Preferred Charging Times and Saved Locations like yours does?

As for your perceived loss? of efficiency charging at higher Level 2 rates, it seems to me that this thread leaned to lower charging rates for better efficiencies (~18% to 13%?):
lower-amp-charging-healthier-for-battery.13085/
Level 1 was said to have 30% loss.
Might also depend on quality/size/length/resistance of charger & wire from charger to truck. Need more data on all the variations!

Do you have all connectivity controls active? Or are you selectively turning off certain controls, I've read recently that certain switch's left off screw up what is visible in FP.

My FCSP has the standard 25' cable, the FCSP is 21' from the garage load center where the emporia is located, full copper runs. I think the 16kw vs 18kw flow rate is just the FP back factoring NET energy to the battery and eliminating the losses from the gross flow, which Ironically the FCSP connected charge station sub-app recognizes to gross amount going into the truck.

Also net 1.8 MPK efficiency is hampered by unplugged remote start warm ups & cool downs.
