Welcome lighting/ Illuminated Entry not working and no option in settings to enable.

Hi all. I mentioned in the welcome thread about this issue but I figured I would make a proper post.

I have a 2025 F150 Lightning Flash that doesn't seem to have the option of turning the welcome lighting on. It should have it as the window sticker shows that it has "Illuminated Entry" but in the settings I don't have the option of enabling/disabling it. I have attached some pictures for reference.

I do have ForScan but as it's a lease I am hesitant to modify anything. I appreciate any/ all help.

The 2025 Order Guide lists Illuminated Entry as standard on XLT and above. Then it lists Ambient Lighting for Lariat and above.

Ambient lights are the interior lights like footwell, under seat and door handle lights. There is a setting under General for Ambient Lighting:

Welcome Lighting is when some of the exterior lights up (mirror puddle lamps, light bar) when you approach. Note puddle lamps are not on the Flash, only Lariat and above. Thus you may not have Welcome Lighting. Welcome Lighting is a setting under Lighting in my Lariat:

I'm not sure what Illuminated Entry refers to. Maybe its just the dome lamps.

That's strange. Because I could swear it has puddle lamps. I have the zone lighting and aren't the puddle lamps part of that?

Mirrors, Sideview – Power-folding, Power Glass with Heat, Turn Signal, Memory, Auto-Dimming Feature (Driver’s Side), High-Intensity LED Security Approach Lamps, and Body-color Skull Caps

Also the workshop manual describes the courtesy light system as the dome lights, tailgate light, cargo/bed light. I think those illuminate when you unlock the vehicle. Maybe that is illuminated entry.

Well, damn. That sucks. I really liked the welcome lighting on my XLT powerboost.

Interesting. Is yours a job1 or job2 production? (Not sure if it matters) Mine has a build date of March 20th. My truck definitely has puddle lights. I went out at lunch at checked. It did have to have some work done before I picked it up so maybe something happened there.

So you have this setting but @Lolmodule doesn't? Both 2025 Flash? Weird.

Just went and double checked and yes, I have it

Interesting. I looked through the job1 and job2 order sheets and I couldn't find any difference that would indicate a removal of welcome lighting for job2 but that doesn't mean they didn't remove/ disable it. I'll have to see if there is something the dealer can do about it.

Must be an option package because I don't have it on my 25 Flash either. I do have zone lighting.

I thought the Welcome lighting was proximity based, and that the Flash and below didn't have the module necissary to do proximity sensing.

If either of you have forscan, or are willing to share your vin, I could compare the as built files.

How is this different than "Approach Lighting"? I got that when I added passive entry to my truck. I don't believe I have a toggle for it though.

Just double-checking that that is what we're really talking about here. This manual entry seems to say otherwise. I assumed welcome/approach referred to exterior lamps.
