What is your payload rating on the door jamb sticker?

Sorry...1605lb
A 6,600lb dry weight equals close to a 8,000 pound wet weight. Tongue weight should be 13%, so around 1,040. Plus wdh.

With a payload of 1,605, minus anything you added to the vehicle after it was made, you barely have capacity for 2 people.

Personally, I would never go over 7,500 GVWR trailer. 33 feet is too long also.

I appreciate your input. So on the length thing, what should I be looking to tow it with? Do I need a truck with a longer wheelbase?

...33 feet long
That is more of a mobile home. I have had a 40' pusher, and a 35 ft gasser while towing a CRV and run 50=55'+ so I know about driving around with that length. Do you have experience with such a long unit?

Have you checked the spots you want to visit for that length of available RV parking spots?

The truck will pull it if you get the proper equipment, but it won't do it for many miles without charging,. Basically you need to make it from your house to that RV park on one charge at 0.8 mile/kwh, have you checked? Dropping off that 33' monster each time to charge will be a major task.

You are trying to use the wrong tool to pull that long RV. Sorry, just an old man comments after a life time of RV experience. You posted the question, you have to expect this type of response ...\

I would recommend a superduty diesel with full hitch equipment if you are locked in on a 33' mobile home.

I also have a 23 platinum and I wouldn't tow that. Remember, the Platinum has reduced towing compared to the other models. It's around 8500lbs max. Once you load that thing up, you are pushing or exceeding the limits. As others have said, it's not the right tool for the job. Superduty is the way to go if you need a holiday trailer that big.

Consider where you will be able to charge. Your power usage will be .5 to 1 mi/kw.
Watch your battery and motor temps.
You may also want to consider heavier tires for stability. (mileage cost)
Power and weight are in your favor with the Lightning. The Lightning weighs the same as an F350 and has more power and more torque.

I just did a video on towing my 7000lb travel trailer that is 36 feet long. Check it out. You will be fine as long as you are within spec of what the Lightning can tow.

The lightning tows just as well if not better than a super duty. That is according to my buddy who just got rid of his super duty for a lightning and towing the same camper.

It will tow your choice fine. It will reduce your range to somewhere in 1.4-.08mi per kWh though. Thats a ballpark. Your range will depend on a slough factors specific to your driving style, terrain, heater and more.

Happy “Glamping.”

I've towed loads that big with midsize, fullsize, and fullsize HD trucks. I just traded a F-250 6.7L Powerstroke for this Lightning. The Lightning pulls like a freight train. It is amazing how similar to the diesel it feels.

In my opinion, trailer length has absolutely nothing to do with this. Frontal area does. The manual states that around 55 sq/ft is the most frontal area you want. My trailer is 56 so it's very close. I think this camper you're wanting to pull will also be very close to maxing out the truck. But it's doable, just don't expect good range.

As far as payload goes, keep in mind that with weight distribution, which you have, the factory hitch is rated for 1,000 lbs. So you'll be close there also, but still doable as there is some buffer built into the ratings.

In short, yes you can tow that just fine. Use a good brake controller. The Curt Echo works great if you don't have the factory setup. Keep your speeds in check. You'll be fine.

You towed a 7,000 pound trailer. His trailer has a GVWR of 8,150, or 16% heavier.
