This thread is not about emergency backup power or how to do that best. It is about buying and selling based on Time of use rates to derive an income by using your EV battery.
The Ford HIS and Sigenergy systems are capable of this (as well as providing emergency power) and are fair to compare. Manual transfer switches with small critical load panels are not relevant to the topic.

Mine was like that originally, but after an update, turning on the bed receptacles now automatically disables the shutdown timer.

I'll have to check that out. I do wish they would just let me start Pro power without starting the truck. I guess the new ones don't require you to start the truck to run pro power.

Correct. But (there’s always a “but”) if the truck‘s not on, PPO will shutoff in 5 minutes if the load is less than 90 watts.

I’m guessing it has to be started with the truck on, then you can shut the truck off. Since I have a 23, I don’t know for sure.

At least on the 2024 (don't know about others), if you push the ON button on the bed outlet panel within a minute of unlocking the truck, it will turn on the PPO to the bed.
