Multiple Error messages and bricked

I had had good luck up until yesterday. I power washed the truck the day before and the next day I got multiple errors on the screen scrolling from one to the next to the next, it was like 10-15 erros of all kinds. Truck would not move in fact it stopped blocking my street in front my house. I spent 3 hours trying to move it. Took 12 v off and on multiple times. I do believe the 12v was starting to fail as I recalled something conserving power at shut down every day prior and did not know what it meant.

Anyways read some stuff here went got new 12 v and same thing happened when I installed. I did not reset the battery management system as I was not aware to do that until reading last night.

Weird thing too was I could not make it go into neutral to roll it no matter what I did.

I may have had a one pedal drive error the day before as it kicked me out of one pedal drive for some reason.

Anyways truck now been dead for 2 days even the new 12 volt was dead by morning

Not sure how this can even be towed

I'm assuming the truck is completely blacked out. No power to anything.
Also assume that your physical key works, pull the manual frunk release, iirc its near the left drivers side kick panel, pull the 12v and take it to a shop to get tested. You could also try charging it but it sounds like it needed to be replaced anyway.

Edit: I missed the second to last line, there was also a failed DCDC converter, recently so it may be shop time, but considering it allowed you to run over multiple days and sleeps I'd think this wouldnt be likely.

That other incident was the first thing that came to my mind when he said the replacement 12v got drained prematurely, another shorted transistor in the DC/DC converter ?????

Ensure the terminals are tightened then charge/jump the 12v, if you use jumpers you can also let it sit for a while and top off. I have no idea if the truck can stay in neutral with no 12v and there is a use case for both having and not having the ability to stay in neutral.

leads me to believe it's not the DCDC since they are usually all or nothing kinda deal. with the other errors it could be a short somewhere but just guesses without seeing it

going to wait until next late next week when it gets above zero c to see if it was somehow ice related it has been extremely cold in Ontario last 2 weeks.

anyways hoping the truck is not a write off but preparing for it seems like a major issue and potentially too costly to fix given the zero resale value of these abandoned trucks from Ford. Wont happen again Ford from me!

I wonder if in the event the DCDC converter fails if you can fit a 100A 12v ACDC power supply like they use for installing updates.

does anyone know if the truck can be dragged/winched onto a flatbed or should it be dollied?

All depends on the skill of the tow operator, but dollies will help lesson the resistance depending on how smooth the garage, street or driveway surface are.

The other depleted 12v LVB involved a defective PTC.

the parking pawl may get damaged

Just for clarity, the truck is blackout dead right? What, if anything have you attempted to rectify it. My main question is, while powered up it wouldn't go into neutral or it won't go into neutral because it's blacked out dead.

Edit: Just to explicitly answer your question, the motors themselves will have no issue with this, but there is a gear ⚙ looking thing and an actuator, for actual terms you'll have to speak to someone with a higher pay grade, anyway, this is the parking pawl, it's intended to lock the wheels while in park. I don't know how strong it is, and the lightning is heavy, so it could potentially be damaged if you try it.

when I put the 12 volt in and hit start it runs through 10 or more errors, park sensor error, drive faulty error, one pedal drive error, etc just error after error. I try putting into gear to move it repeatedly but shifter is locked and about ever 10-15 start button tries I get it to shift but no reaction from pedal.

The errors just keep repeating.

The day before I last drove it I got kicked out of 1 pedal driving due to an error while driving, I tried to reengage 1 pedal driving and it went in again for 30 seconds and again kicked off 1 pedal driving.

When the truck got stuck halfway out my driveway on the road I had tried to disconnect the 12 volt multiple times and tried on off 100 times and at one point I hit turn off 1 pedal driving and the truck allowed be to backup off the road but after that again would not shift from park or if it did auto went back to park. My main screen works fine in the centre of truck its the dash screen repeating errors.

At times the truck when all turned off makes a thumping noise as if a base speaker is shorting best way I can describe it, at times my brake pedal pulses all kinds weird stuff

I don't know where it is on the 12" screen, but there should be a method to put in neutral from the sync screen, you may want to refer to the manual, but I'm about to head to work and I'll look for it on my 15" to give you an idea.

EMERGENCY TOWING - VEHICLES WITH: 12 INCH SCREEN


If your vehicle becomes inoperable without access to wheel dollies or a vehicle transport trailer, it can be flat-towed with all wheels on the ground, under the following conditions:
Your vehicle is facing forward for towing in a forward direction.
You switch Emergency Tow on.
Maximum speed is 35 mph (56 km/h).
Maximum distance is 50 mi (80 km).
Switching Emergency Tow On
Properly secure your vehicle to the tow vehicle.
Switch your vehicle on to accessory mode. See Starting and Powering Off.
Apply the parking brake.
Press Settings.
Press Vehicle.
Press and hold Emergency Tow until a confirmation message appears on the touchscreen.
Press and hold the brake pedal.
Shift into neutral (N).
Note: A confirmation message appears in the instrument cluster.
Release the parking brake.
Switch your vehicle off.
Note: Power is required for this procedure and requires the 12V battery to be charged.
Switching Emergency Tow Off
Switch your vehicle on.
Press and hold the brake pedal.
