I put a set of these type boards on my other F 150 but different brand, went with Amp Research for it as they were the best bang for the buck at the time. This time I went with Wolfbox powered boards for much the same reason, they were the best price, actually half the cost of AR boards.

Comes with it's own set of leds that turn on/off with board deployment and retraction. Either door on either side will activate the boards. Got them mainly for my 90 y/y mom, it's a bit of a stretch for her to climb in with those high and tight oem boards. I'm sure my knees will thank me after a while, I'm no spring chicken either.

Nice! I need to get those for my Parents as well. I had them on my 2018 F-150 but that was the one option I couldn’t get on my ‘22 Lightning, was initially supposed to be on the Platinum, but that was the one covid canceled item

Ooh these look really nice! I might consider them for my 22. The one thing that's kept me from biting the bullet and getting powered running boards has been the loss of the rear zone light on the factory fixed boards. Is there any way to implement that functionality on these?

Simple install if one can turn a wrench. Makes a world of difference.

They come with their own zone lighting, front and rear each side. You tap the CANBUS wires at the bcm for them to integrate with the trucks door open/closed signal. I'll update original post later with an after dark photo.

Where did you get them? I see them on Amazon for $1100 with the coupon. Rough country has theirs on sale right now for $999 on their website. Decisions decisions...

Nice, that’s what I was waiting for as I didn’t want to lose the zone lighting on the sides.
Where did you find the best price on them?

Don't know if it was the best price or not but I like Amazons return policy just in case.

How hard were the electrical connections?

I've had the factory units now for 6 years (3 on ICE, 3 on Lightning) and swear by them. With the snow and ice here, it's really easy to slip off the fixed boards. Powered units are lower, wider and look better when folded up (IMHO). My mother-in-law wouldn't be able to get in otherwise.

They need to be lubricated yearly to keep them operating smoothly, especially if winters involve road salt.

Does this have any way to manually shut off the running boards in case you don't want them to deploy?

Connect two wires to the battery, It comes with two wire taps for the door open signal. Then just run the harness out to the motors/leds.

How do this type of running boards hold-up in northern climates with snow and road salt? Anybody have experience with that? Thanks!
