Still waiting for my Home Integration System to reliably provide automatic Backup Power Transfer to the house, ~3 years after my system was installed and ~4 years after it was first issued and found to be flawed. It's the perfect meme for Ford Motor Company....

You can print the manual from a computer or you can buy one already printed or just use the searchable electronic one via the app. Considering most people never even break the plastic bag they use to come in, seems illogical for them to include it in printed form. Not to mention they revise them all the time, mine already has a newer version than what it would have came with and they won't send out reprints regardless.
Yeah no going backwards on this one… if anything just continue to iterate on making better digital manuals.

One recurring complaint. Had a software update for the trailer module last night. This morning all my dash and radio settings were deleted. Having to again re-program my radio stations.
Is this just a Lightning thing, or are other Ford products affected? This seems like an easy fix, or a very poor design feature.

Technically that’s a less annoying “feature” than the one that turns the front motor off after an update until you restart the truck a second time.

@Ford Motor Company I really want to believe you...I just don't see Ford being able to keep up. My point is software based. There were so many simple benchmarks in the industry, mainly from Tesla, about how users use their cars and it seems none came over to Ford. So either Ford assumed that they didnt need to at least match the segment leader or your software team just cant do it.

I realize the probable answer is somewhere in the middle. But with simple things like keeping my AC running while I open the frunk, dog mode/camp mode, or just the ABSOLUTELY stupid dual max defrost buttons... I lean more on the weak software side of things. I'm sure we could all list things that we want different, but the more I have my truck, the more the little things just get frustrating.

A tailgate that cant close once I lock the truck. A keypad that cant deploy the tailgate as on EVERY OTHER F-150 or bed lights that require a switch to operate vs being tied to the tailgate as an option.

The further the industry goes down the software path, which left port more than 20 years ago, the more it shows how far behind Ford is based on this truck.

You literally pointed out every single one of my complaints. We are pretty much twins. You would not believe how much I complain on X about the Frunk turning off the remote climate control.

HA! The other night my neighbor asked me if everything was ok. I was beating the crap out of my tailgate by slamming it as I was taking out some frustrations as I couldn't find something in the dark and because of what I had in the bed, I couldn't hit the stupid light button.

Camp Mode and Dog Mode are kind of required at this point for EV's.

You have a fantastic truck. I really wish you were still making it. You really need to review your initial 25k/yr plans, then because of social media you raised it to 100k/yr and invested a bunch of money into expanding. Seriously fire some people because if you kept to the original plan, you'd still be making it.....

2022 Lightnings would really enjoy HVB battery warming in the winter while NAV is pointed to a DCFC station!!

It works for later model year trucks, why can't the software team fix this, long overdue request?

Camp mode should mean all exterior white lights should be able to be turned off while pro power and climate still work. Hard to see the stars when the exterior lights come on when opening a door.
FYI - It's called "silent mode" and it already exists. We use it while camping all the time.

Oh and the BC speed logic makes no sense. It knows the posted speed, yet it will let me set it at 80 when its 40-70, but set it at 81 no matter what and it deactivates...

And why spend the money on nice tires and get them aligned and balanced? Its cheaper to skip it and constantly move the steering wheel and avoid the warning.
