Thanks for the response! I’m just trying to wrap my head around Sigenergys offerings as I plan to go with it for my home. I have 2 EV’s which are typically gone during the day and will be installing as much solar as possible on my roof, which seems to be ~16.5kw. The thing for me is I want to make sure I’m not losing potential production due to clipping. My energy consumption is between 1,600kWh and 2,400kWh monthly.
Based on that does a single 11.5 inverter with 3 of the 9kWh batteries make sense? My 4 largest continuous loads are my F150 Lightning 10.5kw, my BMW X5 45e PHEV ~4kw, my hot tub standby heat at ~4kw, and my AC at 3kw.
Couple things to add, your actual hourly draw at the 2,400 kWh (high end) is 3.3 kWh average, more like 2.4 kWh at 1,700. The 11.5 kW inverter is light work for that. Those 21.5 kW headline loads are max-rate numbers, not constant, Lightning at 10.5 kW only pulls that during an active charge session, hot tub at 4 kW cycles on standby, BMW only during its charge windows, AC cycles too. At any given moment your real draw is closer to 2.3 - 5 kW.
On the topology, the LoadHub sits between your meter and your existing main panel. Your current main becomes a subpanel feeding the rest of the house. The LoadHub manages the critical circuits and the routing I mentioned earlier. V2X handles one EV at a time on DC; the other car keeps charging on AC through the subpanel like it does today.
So for sizing: 3 modules covers your usage with room to spare. The reason to look at 4 instead isn't load coverage, it's solar absorption headroom on your sunniest days. Different question, different answer.
3.3kWh (80kwh days) 3 Modules has enough to cover up to 8 hours.
2.3KWh (54kWh days) 3 modules has enough to cover up to 12 hours.
