BlueCruise Future for Lightning

Hi there @Ford Motor Company! Is it possible to get some insight on the future of BlueCruise for Lightning owners? It seems that Lightning is limited to BlueCruise 1.4 per the Ford website. Is it possible to confirm that Lightning will not be getting any newer versions of BC? If Lighting will not receive any newer versions of BC, it would be amazing to not pay the same price as other vehicles that are on 1.5 or later.

Certainly not for my son's 2022. It expired in 2025 and never got an extension.

2021s got a year free due to late implementation.
2022s, both Mach-Es and Lightnings, got a year free. Both of mine expired a few months ago.

We offered a free year to your friends who bought a year before you, and paid $XXX included in their sticker price for this feature, but we're not offering it to you because you got only 90 days / 1 year offered and paid a lot less money for that.



Early 2021 Mach-E owners had no working BlueCruise. Then it came out, and they had issues updating it. That took a year to fix, so they said "that year doesn't count". 2021 and 2022 owners, and 2022 Lightnings, got an extra year, because they got upgraded from a very limited set of features right at the end of their 3 years, AND because their initial upgrade offer was much more expensive.

They're still waiting to issue the incentives for Lightning lease holders to convert to purchase, and for older Lightning owners to buy the 2025s, like they promised in December.

I’m thinking gas prices have made Ford rethink that statement they put out back then. I’m guessing when my lease ends in December they won’t work with me at all. It stinks, when they made that lease negotiation statement I really thought I had a chance to steal this thing.

Nah, it wasn't gas prices. It was a promise they didn't even try to keep.
