BlueCruise Future for Lightning

I’m curious what will happen when mine “expires” at the end of the year even though my sticker says “BlueCruise 1.0” as an included feature with no mention of a trial.

At the very least I better continue receiving BC 1.0 for free.

Dear Fred,

We offered a free year to your friends who bought a year before you, and paid $XXX included in their sticker price for this feature, but we're not offering it to you because you got only 90 days / 1 year offered and paid a lot less money for that.



Early 2021 Mach-E owners had no working BlueCruise. Then it came out, and they had issues updating it. That took a year to fix, so they said "that year doesn't count". 2021 and 2022 owners, and 2022 Lightnings, got an extra year, because they got upgraded from a very limited set of features right at the end of their 3 years, AND because their initial upgrade offer was much more expensive.

You have it free until 2027, a total of 4 years, but you must complete the "purchase".

Thanks but you got me on "complete purchase" so it wont quit tomorrow the 9th. I have until august 27 with no charge. Then after that August 2027 id have to buy a new plan if want to keep?

Seems pretty clear to me. You need to complete the screen to get the $0 for the next year, or you won't get it.

Yeah when it asked for credit card info amd it says 0.00 im always leary but yes, i agree. Thats pretty cool of ford to do

We were all leary last year when this rolled out, I committed the purchase for zero dollars last year, then set a calendar event for a few days ago this year to monitor what happened at the end.

I was prompted to chose options for the up coming season, go monthly for 49.99 or the annual plan, I chose monthly with a partial credit of Ford Reward points that reduced my net payout for the period Aug 5 to Sept 4 2026.

Hopefully the trips to Boston will be done by the Fall, so I'm only commiting to month to month at the moment, then will [CANCEL] and only switch on if I ever plan a truely long road trip.

I think is great, Ford wants to over charge for BlueCruise and now they have Ford security for sal at 7.99/month.

So if we purchase all the add-ons you would be laying out around $900/ year for mediocre services! Count me out!
