SYNC-26.2.8.3 SW Update 12 - Center Touchscreen [EAP]

Well I had to drive into work today so I tested my lane assist. It seems pretty bad, but is working. It's ping ponging very hard now. So much while testing I was afraid it was actually going to go out of the lane and I turned it manually a few times. I know before it was very close to how our Audi etron did and kept it pretty close to center all by itself. Working like that helped a lot with driver fatigue by just basically keeping your hands on the wheel and not having to fully hold the turn manually. However the lightning on turns, I'm afraid to test it now so I fully hold the wheel. I know some will say you should always hold the wheel firm, but I'm just stating what I've done and tested in the past and it's no longer working like that. Or at least I thought it did.

Not yet, this long of a delay might indicate re-work was needed and EAP testing is continuing.

I think you're right about maybe they're fixing things still delaying more updates. I know I got my last update on 07/25/26. It was TCU-26.2.11.3. And the lane keep assist is pretty terrible still. Just got back from a short trip and it gets uncomfortably close to the lines now.

EAP here, last two updates were trailer brake recall on 4/14 and plug and charge update on 3/25. No hint of this.

I’m a 2022 and have received the first two, but have not seen the Sync update yet. Last was TCU on 7/26.

Correct me if I’m mistaken—anyone with deeper access to Ford FDRS—but this update, literally block for block 24MY, already has minus, and I have no idea whether the car preconditions with Apple Maps.

Every single one of the notes my 2024 lightning already has, I do not know if it does preconditioning that was the minus

The release notes should clarify that this is specific to 2022 to 2023 model years. 2024 and 2025 (I'm assuming) already have this.

Glad to see everyone getting caught up on features and functionality.

I can confirm 24 model year has everything in the notes except I can’t confirm if it preconditions with Apple Maps

You won't get the Sync update until you get the ECG and TCU updates. And so far it looks like those have only released to 2022 and not your 2024. So you can save your refreshes .

TCU and ECG was sent to MY 24 in 2023 Nov unless there is an updated version it is what gave mine the phone icon up top

Got the TCU update on 8/7, still waiting for the last one. On the Mach-E, it was 12 days apart. So far, 17...
