Well I made it a little over 4,400 miles before getting a problem with this truck but I have checked the negative battery cables and they are tight and the truck otherwise drives pretty good so I'm guessing I'll have to just go to the dealership and get it scanned when I have time this week. Sigh...

Truck was just feeling lonely and needing to be serviced, nothing to see here...

could simply be a sign of a weak 12 v battery...

and, it could also indicate something else that is not necessarily 'catastrophic', just like the good ol' 'engine' icon on gas vehicles - where someone simply forgot to tighten the gas cap.

Get one of these and scan it yourself for codes, clear them to put the light out, live data, freeze frame. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FSNVZVK?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1

OMG I'm an idiot. I just remembered that I have ForScan. I can hook that up tomorrow and at least see what the fault is for.

Only thing I noticed driving the truck tonight is that once as I was pulling out of Home Depot onto the main street the truck accelerated without my input and I had to hit the brake and keep from hitting the car in front of me. But it only did that once. The other thing is that the brakes feel more "grabby" if that makes any sense. They're usually pretty linear in feel, but not tonight.

I'll look into this more tomorrow.

Nope I have not had that recall yet. So I decided out of curiosity to look through the codes and just see what's in here. There are actually over a half dozen codes stored in this thing. One of them is for coolant heater internal control module performance. Another one is for control pilot circuit being intermittent or erratic. Another one says active air dam control circuit performance. There's one for invalid data received from the anti-lock brake system. There's another that says invalid data received from the EV powertrain control module. Here's one that says automobile audio bus on node one has issues. My goodness this thing has more codes in it than I've ever seen. Who knows what's going on. So off to the dealership I go this week.

Until now I have had absolutely zero issues with the truck and no symptoms of a failing battery or shifter. But we will find out.

Yeah, I just did the glare free and had 7 or 8 codes but no check engine light, while doing the programming I realized my comma was still plugged in, after unplugging 3 or 4 resolved on their own. Reset the rest, only one came back immediately on the body computer. One of the cleared ones was also ABS. My brake recall was done, but from my understanding you'd encounter less braking power per effort if the recall is the issue. That being said it is conceivable that you are encountering a bug which overloads the module that prompted the recall in the first place.

There are multiple posts of this happening when cruise control is activated, and the resume button gets touched unintentionally when turning the wheel. I've had it happen, and now I ALWAYS make sure I turn cruise fully off when driving around town.

In my case I had just started the truck in the Home Depot parking lot, drove about 500 feet at 10 MPH, and then stopped at a stop sign. As I then turned right onto the street this happened. It had nothing to do with cruise control whatsoever in my situation.

After clearing the codes, I had zero warning messages on the dash this morning when I left for work. Wrench icon was gone too. Then about ten minutes into my drive I reach down and turn on the Auto climate control and immediately the service vehicle soon message pops back up and wrench icon comes on. So that's interesting....

I contacted my closest Ford dealer (took 3 calls over a period of 4 hours to finally get to talk to a human) and they have offered to come pick up the truck at my house and take it to the shop for me. That's excellent because I don't have to take off work or find a ride home after dropping it off. Very convenient. Will report back at the end of the week with what they have found.

Have them do the brake booster recall and install the updated software while it's at the dealer.

Thanks for updating your thread, curious about your outcome. 25' Flash owner here also.

I doubt they will do anything for that issue since my VIN is not tagged with any recalls. I just checked the NHTSA site again and my VIN is clean.

My truck is a Feb build and is under that recall for the brake booster. I updated it my self via FDRS. System still shows it though until a tech at the dealer connects. Ford is keeping track of every aspect.

I wonder what the cut off date is. Letter I got says it affects 25 F150, Expedition, Bronco and Ranger.

If the 12V battery gets weak, these trucks seem to throw codes.
With cold weather now here, the 12V batteries are probably showing signs of weakness (slower chemical reactions internally).
I keep mine on a trickle charger in AGM mode when not driving.

The acceleration is the most troubling to me.
There have been one or two other posts about sudden acceleration for no apparent reason, at least one resulted in an accident - rear ended the car in front of them.

NHTSA is investigating Bluecruise in Mach-e's.

I believe the other Lightning owners who had that acceleration reported it to NHTSA, which you should too.

https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem

I don't recall the details but I seem to remember one of them might have been using one-pedal driving. I don;t think Bluecruise was involved.
