.... at first, this looked like an easy 'V2H' connection method, but it seems like this is just for EV Charger wiring outside of the traditional connection to a Main Panel breaker.
That's what I thought it was. Sorry for the confusion.

A quick look at that website and I didn't see anywhere to connect power cord from a Lightning Pro Power to this meter socket.
No, it's a battery storage connection. I guess it could be used with a generator or the lightning's outlet. It's just an inlet with a breaker it seems. Says its meant to work with it's MID so no transfer switch or lockout/interconnect. An MID should be able to work with any type of input, but they are saying for solar or battery systems.

right, as I could not locate any NEMA 14-50 or 240v Twist lock connection on the unit, to allow for the incoming power from the truck... or are they are expecting your vehicle to provide this directly thru the J1772 cable?

I'm also not exactly sure what the 'Communications Cable' is for...

I believe it's all hardwired. You can wire up a receptacle, but they are expecting some type of off-grid, or hybrid inverter and battery storage system that would be the direct connection and then the inverter may have solar and generator inputs, like from PPO

IMHO, not as useful as Generlink originally posted here for me as a Lightning owner.

If I wanted battery backup, I would go offgrid inverter and LFP batteries with solar.

I received an email today from Ford showing GenerLink being available in Georgia. I called GenerLink for additional information. Per GenerLink, my electric utility does not approve the simple meter base installation option. They stated that their GenerLok 20 foot cord and short Ford connector cord for the truck connection had to be utilized. They said the Lightning GFCI would trip without their Ford connector cord. They also said their GenerLok 20 foot cord had to be used to connect to the GenerLink base. They gave me a price of $1200 for the GenerLink and both cords. Add another $1200 for installation and the secondary meter box, and that brings the total to $2400. The Generac 6853 Transfer Switch approach would be less than half that cost.

Did you ask if their "Ford Connector Cord" just doesn't connect the ground lug at the ProPower plug to their 20ft cable?

My thoughts exactly. That wouldn't be "legal" or to code, but that's exactly what needs to happen for it to function.

I did not ask. Their Product Support is at 800-886-3837 Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. I found them helpful.

There are over 100 different Electric Utility Providers in GEORGIA - I wonder 'which' they were referring to??

Just to say "Georgia" means little, other than to offer confusion.

- 49 different CITIES offer power thru their membership with MEAG(MunicipleElectricAsscOfGeorgia)
...MEAG Power’s generation includes ownership in six nuclear units, four coal units, one combustion turbine, a combined cycle natural gas unit, solar generation, and hydro generation.
...Each CITY is responsible for it's own power transfer lines and poles, management, equipment, employees, and billing to customers.
...Each CITY decides what electrical permits, processes, and rules customers must follow.

- 41 electric membership cooperatives (EMCs) are member-owned utilities that serve approximately 73 percent of the state’s land area and operate by far the largest distribution network in the state, with 200,400 miles of electric power lines.
...EMCs Power generation is similar to MEAG's, with even more locations.
...Each is responsible for it's own power transfer lines and poles, management, equipment, employees, and billing to customers.
...Each decides what electrical permits, processes, and rules customers must follow.

others include:
Georgia Power
Dalton Power

ok, only 92+...

now we know why simply 'adding' a device to the utility's equipment is not so, well, simple.
