Just looked at the Hansshow website again and there's a "Cyber Monday" sale that's still active. Code "CM22" gets you 22% off which brings the cord down to $467.22. Still spendy but better than the $599 without code.

I received the 8’ Hansshow extension cord and only used it once so far.
1. At a Tesla station #1 it did not work on my Ford Lightning.
2. Tried again at station #1 and it did not work. Note a Tesla was able to use station #1 successfully after it failed for my vehicle.
3. Tried again at different

station #2 and it did work. 27% to 80% max 180KW
It was 68°F outside. The charge port got to 154°F and the cord felt hot.

Oh, spooky, Hansshow. I won't repost my Hansshow horror stories but you can find them with search.

Does the build quality look OK? It's concerning that it wouldn't work at all on one station - are you sure that station was CCS-enabled?

The Tesla stations were right next to each other. The cable (@2ӯ) and connectors are beefy. (Of course not liquid cooled like the Tesla cable) I reached out to Hansshow today.

When I had problems with their AC charging adapters they refused to give me any support unless I installed an extremely sketchy Chinese messaging app on my phone. Have they gotten over that?

It has only been a day- No responses. I described the charge failures & specifically asked if there was a recomended sequence connecting the cable to the charger and the vehicle.

No response because perhaps no one has first hand knowledge ...

I would assume you would extend the charge cable from the dispenser with this one before plugging into the truck, but I it shouldn't make any difference, nothing should start happening until the truck and dispenser establishes communication and all latches are locked.

Just my assumption... never seen one

If it's still only rated at 250 amps, you are certifiably insane plugging it in to a Supercharger that delivers 500 amps.

I guess it's a good sign if it didn't catch fire immediately?

Bowe Family EV (can’t find his handle here) did a good review of the new, revised version of this extension cable. The new one is rated for 350amps continuous and 500amp boost charging. I actually have this cable in the bed of my truck now and plan to test it later today once my truck is out of the dealership for the rollaway recall work. If you don’t hear back from me you’ll know I got fried. ⚡

Ok I just tested this 8ft version of this cable and so far so good.
If backing into a Tesla charge stall then you’re going to need the 8ft version, and that was a stretch as you can see. I didn’t try going nose first but I’m sure that would have been much better for the cable. Either way, you’re only taking up one Tesla spot, which I needed to do where I went because the stalls were full. So in this first test case I would t have been able to charge without the cable.
I charged from about 35% to 80% and didn’t notice anything different about charging speeds (ie it wasn’t any slower). It started out at 182kw and then leveled off midway from there.
The handle, cable and coupler never felt hot during the whole charging session.
It is an incredibly beefy cable but manageable. Next time I’ll go in nose first so I don’t have to suspend the cable mid air like this. 😬

@tommolog had three failures with the Hanshow extensions:
Saw that too. Of all the people, you don’t want Tom to experience issues. But I attribute his failures with trying to back-to-back boost charge with this cable with two separate EVs. For myself and a few others, using this cable with one EV under regular use cases it seems to work ok. Looking forward to Tom’s follow up video when he releases that though.

He never got the chance to do a back to back charge. It failed on both vehicles early in the charge.

Yes, A2Z is working on getting theirs certified before releasing it. It's coming.
