My BC one year extension ends in 3 days. I am planning on getting a comma 4 device instead. 2 years of BC subscription pays for a comma that works on the roads I actually drive on instead.
Same here. I'll be moving on to the Comma 4.

My plan expires in October. I would gladly subscribe if my truck had BC 1.4 but I’m not paying for the lousy 1.0 it has now.

No sir. My truck had been staying close to your truck’s update schedule. You would normally get an update a couple of days before me. That stopped last fall though.

[My] Sparky lose BC in October, like a few others on the forum. I got the free year so it's a total of four years by the time it goes away; I've found the feature to be indispensable and changed how I drive, not to mention the decrease in stress levels on the (big) roads since my attention can be enhanced to so many other aspects of being behind the wheel (which is a rote, mind-numbing task overall that I am happy to offload to a system just as good as I am at making small micro adjustments that do nothing to my mental well-being). The update to add more roads and better adjustments was excellent and would have warranted extra money from me if need be, but the fact it was free was awesome!

Having said all that, I probably will join the camp of not renewing if there are no future plans to update or improve the software (even if that was simply making it work on more roads). Without any assurance from Ford that it isn't planning on making such a costly feature better in the future, I'm not paying the high cost of renewal. By then I assume I can have the Poor Man's Blue Cruise(tm) setup with an ankle weight on the steering wheel to remove the infuriating lack of automated driver attention "detection" when using the normal adaptive cruise control. Honestly, if there was a way to make that feature better even without real BC, I'd pay real money for it! I imagine the ACC (with the unfortunate required hacks to improve) would be all I'd use going forward.

Thought for sure I would renew when the original subscription ended, but it expired a last month (June) and I have not and will not renew at the extraordinary high cost for limited functionality.

Short answer. Nope.

I got the free one year and it'll expire Dec 2027. I took it since it's free but will switch to Comma 4 as BC requires the telematics to be active and the more data they collect, the less comfortable I feel.

I purchased my truck in 22 and had the 3 yr and extra 1 year of Bluevruise that will soon run out. I will definitely not renew at the current price. It would have to drop tremendously before I’d subscribe.

have the comma 4 for about six months and never touched bluecruise since acquiring. the "put your hands on the wheel" popups every 15 seconds drove me insane. going down a straight road for 20 miles and stilll having to incessantly turn the wheel is nobody's idea of having fun. comma 4 is great - took some configuring to get it squared away but it is greatly superior in every way vs bluecruise.

What did you need to configure? Need to know before diving in head first. :)
Thanks!

there is a signal interrupter that it turns out I needed to buy (think it was ~$60). before buying that every light on my dash would light up - after simply plugging that in all is good.

The problem with BC is that it requires mapped roads. In most of Canada, it's basically useless (just do a google search for blue cruise maps) They don't even have the major east/west trans Canada highway mapped and I haven't seen any effort to add more roads. Since I have owned the truck, I've literally had to purposely drive out to some short roads just to try it out (what a complete waste of a 3 year trial). Cool novelty, but who in their right mind would actually subscribe to this in Canada. I guess there may some very specific instances where someone's daily route is mapped but that is going to be very niche up here. If Ford is serious about having these types of subscriptions, they need to put the effort in and increase the amount of users its services would be useful to.

Does anyone know what is involved for Ford to map a road? I would assume it's just a vehicle, like the Google Maps vehicle that they just drives down the route. Maybe someone then has to enter some road signs or something.... In 5 years...How is it possible that they couldn't drive the TransCanada highway is beyond me. That tells me that the effort in the service is crap and I have zero interest in supporting crap services.
Exactly why I didn't renew, very limited areas you can use it on Vancouver Island ...roads must be geofenced (whatever that is)

Since the nearest freeways where it really matters are 2-4 hours away (I-90, I-84, I-5), nope for me.

Same boat here, 1.4 has not hit my truck yet !!! My current free subscription ends at the end of the month. Not paying that much for v1.0!
