Guess these emails prove it isn't a glitch.

This response may work for those not following the build/shipping status. But me knowing it's just sitting on a ramp away from any ford control makes this email even more irritating

Did they at any point confirm the $9k amount for price protection? Or was it a "if we get anything you'll get it"?

The best I could get out of them was “When we get it from Ford we’ll forward it to you.” No confirmed amount. So we’ll see. Hopefully I’ll get it without a big fight.

I did a little digging on the united tracking site (registered for an account) and I can see there are 12 vehicles pending shipping to my dealer currently, 7 of which are at the same ramp I'm on. My status on that site is "on hold" so I assume until these pending vehicles ship, mine won't be scheduled to leave

I dont know why they won't say the value. I'm going to try and get mine to put on paper I'm owed the difference between price level 330 minus price level 320.

Picked up my Pro last night. Got both price protections and the private offer no problem. Truck is shown next to my bronco which I had planned to trade in however dealer didn't give me what I felt it was worth so I just kept it for now. Impressions of the truck driving home is wow what an amazing vehicle. Biggest con is size.. It's massive even next to my 4 door bronco!

Luckily there are plenty of cases of people, like Thart53 above, that got the price protection on the spot. It isn't a secret, and the dealer feigning ignorance is forgetting that the internet exists and consumers are informed. Sucks not to bag an extra $9,000 screwing a customer, but thems the breaks for an auto salesman in this day and age.

My dealer recognizes I'll "hopefully" get "some" amount, but because the claim they haven't been reimbursed in the past (I call bs) they don't want to front the $9k.

You should 100% flag this with Ford, and maybe drop a line to a couple of local news outlets about dealers being shady. This is the kind of story they would love. If my truck arrives and I get the private offer and price protection with no issue, that'll be a stark contrast to your dealer. Maybe they are being honest and screwed up in the past or didn't submit something to Ford correctly and didn't get reimbursed. My guess is they are just trying to pocket that money. Do not let them.

I'm kind of shocked that there aren't more stories about how all over the place peoples experiences are with getting their Lightning. If I was an Auto or EV reporter or blogger I'd be all over this. Click bait central!

Ok. This is interesting. I wish ford would come out and tell me the truth instead of pushing my ETA back a few days... every few days.

So, my truck ETA has been pushed back again and instead of checking every few hours, I'm going to check tracker once every morning and that's it. My truck ETA has been any day now for almost a month.

Who here with this build week has had their truck delivered and who has not? I'm starting to think that something major is going on with my truck. These delays are ridiculous.

My dealer just sent me this pic and said he tracked my truck here and it's in this bunch in this lot... just waiting for shipment.

PS...

Do you guys think that the little black icon in his photo is supposed to be where my truck is?
