I come across as let down I didn't get a cool feature I was looking forward to. It's not a deal breaker. What will be a deal breaker is if it doesn't have park assist. But I think it does if my research is right. I can drive it fine but we're a one car family and I need the park assist for the wife because she can't park for beans.

When CIE community saw a Canadian model and thought they dropped the flag on the side they lost their shit. I didn't see it as a big deal but could understand some who deem it important.

Funny thing is I think the Lightning actually did drop it off the side vent.

Did the honor their original online bid? Or did they try and nickel and dime you or give you more after seeing the car in person?

Yes they did. I don’t live near one of their dealers and all they asked for were a few photos and that’s it. They sent a truck out to pick it up and that was that. You also get a 10k mile allowance on miles between the time you fill out the paperwork and accept the offer and when they pick it up. Not the best communication l, but you will hear at least once a week from them throughout the process.

Based on your reference to a dropped flag and people losing their shit, I think you may be confusing the way my avatar looks with my political leanings. That would probably be a big mistake.

I have not seen anyone make such a big deal over missing ambient lighting locations as you have over several threads. I'm just not sure (because I don't feel like looking through all your posts) if you were the same person making such a stink about blue being the only available color.

BTW, what is the parking assist you mentioned? I don't see any reference to it on my Lariat+ window sticker. Is it something on the Platinum version?

At the price point we're shopping at, I think it's reasonable to be sorely disappointed that prices in many cases are going up, dealers are engaging in predatory ADM all over the industry, and features are being deleted.

I have a 2015 Platinum F150, and purely on principle it is very, very hard to pony up more money than I paid for that for a lower trim level, with fewer features.

The multi-color ambient lighting is functionally useless (token shoutout to my military boys who run the red/orange to protect night vision lol) but a really fun party trick if you have small children riding along. The active park assist is a feature that gets clowned on by people who live in rural or exurban America. But take a full-sized truck to downtown Boston or NYC during rush hour, and getting that shit "right the first time" is critical for your mental (and hell, probably physical) well-being.

And even if I stepped back up to Platinum, the multi-contour seats are deleted and I lose range from ginormous wheels and (I assume) 10 more B&O speakers. So I certainly see where @DrZoidberg is coming from. Frustrating compromises everywhere.

I think the key, however, is that this is happening across the industry. GM is shipping expensive trucks without heated seats (L-o-L guys, pick a different chip to ration, damn). BMW was shipping X5's without trailer hitches, park assist, touch controls, power tailgates, and other features at various times this Spring.

Many of us are disappointed but trying to find silver linings and some solidarity on the forums. We can cash out our chips and come back to play later, or we can chew whatever lightbulbs Ford and the other manufacturers serve up as snacks.

Either way, misery loves company for sure, but turning into a circular firing squad around here doesn't help anything.

And for what it's worth, Blend Date 6/17 (Lariat Er / Max Tow / gODForSAKEN MA state Incentive-killing MF'ING ALL tERRAIN TIRES) shows as "In production."

Use incognito mode and hit up Carvana every 3 days. Every time a car like it is bought or sold it updates. They kept offering $56k for my ICE F150 , finally hit in on a day for $61.5k.

Are you putting in your plate number or vin? or are you just doing a general inquiry?

I checked my trade in value on a few different sites yesterday. Shockingly, Carmax gave me the best number. I was trying to figure out if there's a certain day of the week where sites may offer more, but i'll try your tip. Thanks!

Oddly theyve never even asked for a picture of my car. But I've asked multiple times if my offer is final and they said yes. I'm at the point where I think I'm waiting for documents to arrive, and I filled out a form for best pick up times. At one point someone did say my offer was approved .. I'm thinking maybe with all the cars they are processing they just forgot to ask and assumed someone saw it
