4. After the indicator flashes turn the truck off.Reset F-150 12v BMS
1. Press start button, but do not start the truck (foot not on brake pedal)
2. Flash high beams 5 times and then press the brake pedal 3 times.
3. Wait for the battery indicator on the dash to flash; it can take a few seconds.
I found when I was having BMS problems a couple years ago that it didn’t always save the new settings if you didn’t turn off after the procedure.
I just got my 12V replaced under warranty today, 3 weeks before my 36 months was up. Back in 2023 I ended up with a bricked truck after one OTA due to 12V problems so my battery went through some things. The new BMS solved the problem but the damage was done.
