Well well I also have my truck in the shop for battery replacement@ 7200 miles got the wrench of death while on vacation. Was able to get it to the local dealer at Brunswick, GA to drop off. No loaner car so I was given a lift to the local Enterprise for a rental. No rentals available. In the meantime my "courtesy" ride had left and I ended up walking back to the dealership. No help offered to get me into a vehicle. Ended up calling someone for a ride back to Atlanta. Truck has been at Kings Colonial Ford now for 3 weeks. Was told I was second in line for repairs and to expect 2 more months. Have gone through several contacts at Ford Customer Service to try and get my truck moved to Atlanta to no avail. I have rented an expedition locally at a cost of 2000.00 per month. Coming up on my first months rental. Paid for it with my credit card but was "assured" by Ford I would be reimbursed for the costs.I have sent copies to Ford but have had no response. Have opened a case and have a case number--- Anybody in the same boat???-- I am told Ford is unwilling to move my truck to my local dealer for repairs because parts have been ordered-

Unfortunately you're not the first to be on a road trip and have a critical failure, other members have reported similar experiences as yours.

@Ford Motor Company might be able to help if the local dealer is having issues getting parts to complete services, a 2 month backlog for your issue being second in line seems unreasonable IMHO.

I am struggling to understand your post. Who is the "Ford" that assured you would be reimbursed for an Expedition, but also not responding to your requests to be reimbursed? If the dealer assured you, they don't speak for Ford. You would need the dealer to either reimburse you or you may be out of luck as Ford corporate is unlikely to reimburse you. They would reimburse the dealer for the rental but you went and got the rental on your own.

Typically the dealer would either provide a loaner from their own fleet, or set up a rental through a partner agency. Then they could get reimbursed by Ford.

Keep in mind that the dealer is not Ford.

Sorry for your frustration, but trying to get ahead of you spending more money on something like an Expedition that I don't believe you will see covered.

I was told by Ford Customer Care that as long as it was a Ford Product that I rented it would be covered. The representative even gave me an address for reimbursement, but I have not had a reply-The dealer did not have any loaner cars available, and pointed to a waiting list on the wall I guess to quantify his remarks. They did not offer to rent a car for me, but rather gave me a ride to Enterprise and told me that Ford would reimburse me-No cars were available at that time, so I walked back to the Dealership to see if someone would find me a car. No other help was offered up by the dealer and I was able to call someone to come and get me and take me back to Atlanta .I rented the car when I returned to Atlanta. Opened a case and Started with Ford Roadside Assistance to see if I could get my truck brought to Atlanta where I bought the Truck at Jim Tidwell Ford. Since it was already at a dealership, they would not relocate it for repairs.

I appreciate your response and before I spend another 2K for rental, I will have to have certain assurance from Ford that my rental would be covered, such as first months rental in hand.

I just went through a similar thing with my 2023 XLT. Luckily it happened after I got back from a big trip and I was able to go to a local dealer that treats me well ( the ford store in Morgan hill). It took them just under 3 weeks to fix my truck. Most of the time was waiting for parts (the Batteries). I was told it was an $8000 repair covered by the warranty. I got it back now and it seems like everything is great. They were able to get me a loaner, which I did appreciated.
