I have a 2022 Lightning Lariat (SR) and the 360 camera view isn’t taking up the bulk of the screen like I have observed in many YouTube videos of other 2022 models. Do I have an issue or is this expected?

Sadly, I bought it used like this. So unaware if or why this would have been done. I think you are referring to the APIM 360 camera configuration app because the software thinks I have the smaller display? Thanks!

Previous owner must not have noticed. You'll either need FORScan or a dealer trip to resolve.

Thanks, I’ll try the FORScan route just to avoid the dealer. I hope I can get a trial, I just saw that they suspended sale of licenses (per Russian source) and payment limitations.

My dealer, Prince Frederick Ford, just told me "That's just the way it is now." So, I get the CSP completed for the front sensors (after two trips), I now have a smaller 360 camera, and my dealer just does the shoulder shrug. @Ford Motor Company

Disappointing.

What bunch of buffoons, go tell them to look at a 2025 and see if "that's the way it is now" smh

It's such an easy fix, less than 5 min

My camera came back smaller after a software update. Dealer has been working on Mach E and 2 Lightnings of mine. Was told that Ford could not fix. Took to another dealership and was told the same thing. FORscan took care of the issue

Somewhere on the forum a user posted the Ford CSP instructions that show the note to the tech that for '22 trucks they have to do a calibration step. And I believe they screenshotted and pointed out where the tech clicks on their computer to do it. Print those things and take it in.

Fwiw, here are the instructions FROM FORD on how to fix the issue.

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-412921

Iirc this is at the bottom of the instructions they follow to do the procedure...they just have to scroll down farther
@sygy @BzzzzztZapPow

You guys should either:

1) email your service department these instructions and request them to send a mobile service tech to you to fix the issue

or

2) Contact the FORD BEV team (800-392-3673) and ask for a credit to buy the OBD2 Tool, a laptop, and a Forscan license, along with 2 hours of your time to fix their issue. (I bet they work with the dealer at this point to help you resolve a problem that you shouldnt be having).

Here's an email for you (courtesy of ChatGPT):
Subject: Request for Assistance with Software Update on F150 Lightning

Dear Ford Service Team,

I’m reaching out about an issue with the recent software update performed on my F150 Lightning. Unfortunately, it appears the update wasn't completed correctly, and my 360 view is now reduced making it hard to navigate my truck in tight locations. This is the kind of problem I wouldn’t expect from such a trusted brand, and it’s making me question my confidence in Fords ability to provide meaningful software improvements.

I’ve come across a guide that details how the ECU module update should be done using FDRS on the F150Lightningforum. I would appreciate it if a mobile service technician could be sent to my address to ensure the update is completed properly and restores the 360 view to how it is intended to be displayed.

Please let me know when a technician will be available to help.

Thank you,
