I tried searching through the manual on the sync display and on here and couldn’t find anything on this!

I leave my Milwaukee battery charger plugged into my frunk. Every time I start the truck I get a notification on my Ford Pass app and a pop up window asking if I’d like to supply power to the frunk outlet.

my questions are:

1. Can I tailor notifications on the Ford Pass app to not notify me of this considering I’m intentionally leaving it open?

2. Can I set my truck to not power the frunk outlet by default to prevent the notification from popping up every time?

With the ProPower settings graphic, I would think if the frunk power is not clicked to "on", it should stay that way, and the notification would not display? Although I think I have experienced notifications that the outlet is not closed when it is, and I think the power was not showing "on" to that section; however, no problems lately.

I deal with this every day too. Major PITA. I have not found a solution yet, either.

Digging up an old thread here, but does your truck still give you these notifications about the frunk outlet being open? I was in the same boat, Milwaukee charger and everything, and a few months back mine stopped giving me the notification, which also stopped the outlet from turning on.

Currently I have to go into ProPower settings and manually turn on the frunk now each time I start the truck (If I want the outlet energized).

This week, just inside of my 3y/36k warranty, I took it to my dealer. They spent some time looking at it then reported that the "feature has been removed by a software update" (Sync is no longer notified when the frunk outlet cover is open). The bed outlet cover still notifies Sync, and works how the frunk used to...

I'm curious as to if this feature was actually removed or if the dealer just kinda gave up on troubleshooting it. I was assuming it was an issue with a microswitch in the outlet cover itself no longer knowing whether it was open or not.

2024 Flash here.

PPO by default stays on for cabin, off for frunk, and off for bed when the truck is powered on.

There's no notication in my truck or in the app if the frunk outlet is open. There are warnings on the cluster if the bed outlets are left open- it won't allow me to shift into gear unless it is acknowledged in the cluster.

If you have a 2024+ and if you previously enabled "keep on while vehicle is off", your previously enabled compartments will remain on, but the "keep on while vehicle is off" will be turned off (so it will power off when the vehicle is off) unless you re-enable that setting. If there's less than 100W detected in this mode over a 6 minute timeframe, it will disable PPO entirely.

Ford is bringing back PPO settings (and possibly notifications) in the app "soon" but don't hold your breath.
