Here's a somewhat simpler solution I use to help my aging Doberman. Not sure where I got it but should be relatively inexpensive

So, how many Great Danes can fit in the back seat of your Lightning? I can only imagine the reactions you may get at stoplights when those huge heads and ears emerge from an open window.

The current one is kind of big and mean so only one now. But there was a time when two could fit. The lightning floor pan is so much nicer than Toyota or Chevrolet, lets of room !!!!

Put them in the bed weather permitting. No dogs will ever grace the inside of my vehicles. The bed was good enough for us kids growing up in the 60's-80's, put a short leash on them if you're afraid they'll jump out.

My lab used to be afraid to jump up after she fell from the back seats of my ranger when I was trying to unload her. Lots of treats and patience plus the lower floor of the Lightning and she was able to jump up. Once she did it once she was okay doing it again. I keep a dog bed rolled up under the seats so when I fold them up for her, I can put it out. Plus rubber mats underneath. On road trips I put her fancy foam bed back there and clip her harness into the seat belt in case of an accident she won’t go flying free.
