70. First Ford was 65 1/2 Mustang GT death trap. 289 w/ race cam and glass packs. Second was 68 Mustang convertible took me from single life to family man. First Ford truck was 73 Courier. Dual OVHD cams made it torque-y as hell. Rangers every 4-5 years until 2015 Lariat Crew. 3 car seats for grandkids won’t all fit in a Ranger.

Age 40. Had a 2011 F150 Ecoboost. Cars in the past 15 years between me and my wife: 2007 Saab 93 -> 2011 f150 -> 2017 Tacoma, 2006 Hyundai sonata -> 2010 Mazda 5 -> 2016 Volvo xc90 phev, 2013 Chevy Volt-> 2019 Chevy Bolt -> 2022 Volvo xc40 EV.

The volt was the "gateway drug" for electric driving for us. Then we got the xc90 phev and as GM's tax credit was about to phase out we went fully EV. The Volvo is frustrating how often it wants to run the engine when it isn't really necessary. After the bolt battery fire recall we purchased the xc40 EV as a replacement. I want an electric pickup (drive the xc90 less and though there is nothing wrong with the Tacoma, it is loud could use a bigger bed, more space inside and it uses fuel/oil. I just did an oil change after 1 year and 2300 miles...what a waste).

Already Reserved my Kentucky License Plate - F150EV. (I wanted "LTNING" but some damn bootlegger down in Hazard already got it!).
June 13th Build Date (Hopefully Delivery July 11th - 339 Miles to Ford Rougue River Complex).

Current Vehicles:
2014 Escape
2016 Escape
2006 John Deere 4WD Diesel Loader Tractor
2008 John Deere 4WD Diesel Gator
2009 John Deere 4WD Diesel 310 Backhoe Tractor
2016 Can Am Commander 1000 SXS

Previous Vehicles:

Jeep Renegade
1978 Chev 1500 4WD

Alfa Romeo
2004 Escape Hybrid (S# 000300 - One of the 1st in So Cal)
Mustang GT
2018 Silverado 2500HD

I ran a Ford Escape Hybrid Forum for 15 years and learned to hypermile for fun; several trips of more than 600 miles at over 55 MPG. I intend to push my Lightning to it's economical limits. It will give me a good reason to get off the farm for a spell.

The electricity (Average 2,200 KW/Month) for my home, farm and Lightning is produced by my ownership of 46 Solar Panels (6.5' X 3.5') (1,000 SF) on my non-profit Co-Op's Solar Farm. This production is calculated to meet 100% of my Touchstone Energy Certified Home needs and the projected Lightning charging.

The great thing about being old is that every warranty is a lifetime guarantee - No need for an Extended Warranty!

2006 Ford F-150 XLT 5.4L
45 years old here.

2006 Ford F-150 XLT 5.4L is the first Ford I've owned (bought in 2009).
Previously:
1998 Pontiac Grand Prix SE in 2002
1994 Chevy Cavalier RS in 1997 (co-owned with brother)

In my opinion, the Fords are built better than Chevy (considering that my parents bought mainly GM products)
In comparison, my brother has had since 1992, 5 vehicles:
1979 Chevy Silverado, bought in 1992 in already very poor shape (and he was terrible at maintaining it). Only lasted him about two years. Used the parents Caravelle from 1994-95 till he ruined that driving it without coolant.
1994 Chevy Cavalier in 1997
2000 Dodge Durango in 2002
2005 Chevy Cavalier (new)
2015 Ford Focus (bought in 2017)

From what I can remember with my parents:
1972 AMC Hornet
1979 Plymouth Volarie station wagon
mid 80's Buick station wagon (1985)
mid 80's Ford Fairmont station wagon (1986)
1986 Chevy Sprint (new)
1988 Chevy Astro Van (new)
1979 Plymouth Volarie (1991)
1989 Plymouth Caravelle (1993)
1995 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 Pickup (new)
2000 Dodge Ram 1500 (2002)
2005 Chevy Aveo (new)
2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport (2019)

49. Own the Mach-E. Have a GT on order for the wife then oldest son will likely start driving the current MME. I’ve always owned a truck/towing vehicle. But with kids joining the driving pool, and my truck becoming my daily driver, I really need to get away from 17-22MPG. Therefore headed for the F-150L.

1st Ford was the Legendary 7.3 power stroke 02 F250. For some dumb reason I sold it.
went polar opposite and picked up a Tesla.
hate the small car thing but an absolute blast to drive! One thing I learned as soon as I sold my truck….. you ALWAYS need a truck. I think the lightning will fill the void nicely. My weekly commute is 408miles a week round trip so diesel cost was killing me.

I commute once a week round trip 362 miles in a Tesla at 17 cents a KW. Love the cost of traveling and yes an absolute blast to drive. I can’t wait to drive the Lightning!

43 - have been driving f150s since learning how to drive My grandad's cream colored '79. They are good trucks and I like the interior of each ford I've owned. I plan to give my 21 powerboost to my spouse and trade her '20 2.7l in for a Lightning lariat when invited to convert my day 1 reservation to an order. I'm a for man through n through. Just can't make up my mind on the color. Wish they brought back the sunset metallic. I loved that color on my '14 crew cab. I also like blue but not sure on antimatter nor atlas blue. None of the colors are striking a nerve so that will be my one dilemma.

I’ll be 57 by the time my XLT arrives and it will be my 8th Ford, and second EV (I currently have a Mach-e) and 3rd pickup (I started with the SportTrac XLT, then an F-150 XLT.

Mid-30s, and this will be my first Ford. I started with trucks, then transitioned to EVs about 7 years ago - so I'm excited to finally merge my two favorite vehicle categories.
