Any rhyme or reason on how the OTA updates are sent out?

Correct. Ford has to take it out of mannequin mode, so they'd have to put it back in.

There really doesn’t seem to be any specific way they update that I know of. I was getting regular updates pretty much as soon as people were posting about them, and then I received Priority Update PU0306-BCF-DET and everything stopped. I have been to the dealer they have checked on the computer and there no updates pending I have called Ford as well they have said everything is up to date . I’d be happy just to get the SOC indicator update. It’s been over three months since I’ve received an update.

Yeah this is pretty much my story. I was getting them pretty regularly until that PU0306-BCF-DET update in July where the truck charged to 100%. And nothing since.

Even with priority updates? What I personally find frustrating is something like the SOC on the dash that everybody wants but only certain people are getting. Plus some of those updates also contain DC fast charging improvements why would some 23s have to wait months and months to get those improvements? Please don’t get me wrong I’m not questioning you I just would love to know.

I second this. I haven't gotten the FordOval network to work yet despite trying every time. Let's get the updates out to everyone Ford.

As far as I can tell, if you’re talking about the blueOval charging network even if you have a credit card linked I don’t believe it works in Canada. I have even tried in the US and it doesn’t work. Hopefully charge assist will start appearing soon in the app drawer.

Your dealer has the capability, but most will not do it. It can be time consuming, many techs seem to have trouble with FDRS and Ford won't pay them to apply an update just for the sake of applying an update. Only if it is part of a recall.

Even the Ford extended warranties exclude standard software updates. Won't pay for it.

I got my first update since July. (23 Jan er lariat build here). Was the 4.3.2.1 update. So not even the most recent soc or other power updates. Installed a week or so ago. Only noticed it because it completely messed up my ford pass connected services. I ended up having to do a master reset of ford pass.
