I don’t know when this happened but it must’ve been recently. It now shows a screen with SoC%, time until charged and *charge rate* (!). The second screen shows the climate and lock/unlock buttons. And a third screen showing location and button link to apple maps location view as well as the alarm button.

Very good improvement! I’ve been waiting for that charging info for two years!

Interesting. I keep mine updated and i use it somewhat regularly to start climate control. I just noticed the change today.

What version is your watch? Mine is a 10.
Watch 7. I wouldn’t expect they would have different updates but possibly.

If you look closely, there are three different screens you can scroll through. It may have always been on one of the different ones.

Biggest problem with the Apple Watch app is it's SO SLOW. I can walk out and start my truck faster than it takes to "load" and finally show the buttons.

What is the name of the Android app?
You'll need a Samsung WATCH4 or equivalent, see the playstore for Fordpass where it mentions the watch4 feature.

I don’t find that to be the case. In fact, my watch can do it faster than my phone.

I had an older Apple 6 watch and it was painfully slow. I’ve had an apple ultra 2 watch for over a year with my iPhone 15pro max . It’s lightning quick and near instantaneous connecting to truck to start, unlock etc. app is much improved the last 2-3 months. I am thinking he newer watch was the true hero though on operational speeds etc.

It's weird, I have an Ultra 2 and a 16 Pro Max and it takes sometimes 30 seconds spinning before it loads the buttons. Thats in the middle of a parking lot next to a cell tower. I can sometimes "short circuit it by going back and reselecting my truck and its faster.

At some locations on some days both my watch and phone often seem to take longer than other times. Personally I feel if I’m in Bluetooth range I get the fastest results. On home and work WiFi networks I get mixed results depending on wifi source and network traffic. Now on pure cellular networks it seems very very reliable and fast on average. Lots of variables between the connection type, latency and speed. So for me once again the biggest speed and reliability increase was going from an older slower watch hardware model to a new peppier model. Then of course is the status of your gateway module in the truck and the ford network on the backend. Overall things seem to keep getting better and improving in my experiences.
