B & O Sound system switches to stereo from surround

I have a 23 Lighting Platinum and randomly when starting the truck the sound system switches to stereo and the only way to get it back to surround is to manually go into the stereo settings and change it back to surround. I'm assuming its bugs in the coding somewhere but would like some conformation.

There is a firmware update available for the stereo system.

Mine does this too, but I noticed is also tied to profiles, if you have one. Mine resets to the guest profile every so often and switches to stereo due to that. The logo/circle top right will give you a clue if that's happening

I have the same issue, same year and trim. Mine will occasionally go to the dash speaker only. (like the old days). I have to reset SYNC and hope it comes back.

Mines is still sticking and has not changed from surround yet.

The dash speaker only playing is probably what is happening to me as well

My 23 Platinum does that occasionally. I have to switch to stereo and back to surround

The truck is up to date with all software updates and still the problem persists. At present we only have one key fob so it switching between profiles isn't the issue I don't think. My guess would be an issue with the Ford's Apple CarPlay.
