I'm going to be a bit simple and ignorant here. I would like to replace my lug nuts on my Sport 20" wheels to be black. Ford sells a set for $165 and I think that is just crazy, but also I just don't want to buy some crap that might fall apart or rust (In my research I've found some that have rusted).

anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced set of lug nuts that fit the F150?

Thank you both. @Kidder, you got me on the right path and @UGADawg96 You found the same place I did.

It's half the price of the Ford option Though I think the Ford ones are 2 piece lug nuts.

Is there any benefit to a 2 piece lug nut?

I bought the ones from CJ Pony but they seem to have a different wrench size required than stock? So I am not sure I want to put them on.

Get rid of the 2 piece asap. They swell and there’s nothing worse than a flat and not being able to get them off in the middle of winter on the side of the road….

It’s absolutely freaking unbelievable that Ford still uses these after more than a decade of these things failing.

A decade? My dad had a 1987 F150 that had to be towed because we couldn't get a flat tire changed on the side of the road because of the lug nuts.

I didn’t realize they went back that far. My 2000 F150 didn’t have them, but it was the 7700 GVWR package, which was actually the old F250. It had good lug nuts.

Just ordered a black gorilla set. I’m hoping the finish is durable because my only concern was them rusting if the finish gets marred from an impact gun. I guess I’ll try them for a while and switch to chrome if I have issues. Bummer to hear Ford still ships cars with the crappy two piece lugs

It's not just Ford. I've had a 4Runner and a Tacoma that have had this.

I just got my snow tires put on yesterday, but I am really considering these for when the regulars go on in the spring.

My local guy detailers says the the Gorilla lug nuts are great, and there are many here that love the things as well.
