Any thoughts on why the charge station pro can’t charge at 80 amps even though it’s set to 80 amps on the hardware dip switch and in the software in the charger app?

The charge station pro is fed via 2AWG line on a 100 amp dedicated circuit. Voltage does not drop below 235 volts.

I've never seen it pull 80 amps. Most I've seen is around 17.6kW, or about 73 amps.

Sounds about normal, it's not going run precisely at 80 amp, mine generally tops out at 75 amps

The truck also has a vote on how fast the overall system runs.

To @TaxmanHog ’s point, here is a picture of recent charge session using CarScanner and my OBD. The math shows 71.05A being delivered (16.92 kW/234.12V) at about 00:17:30 into the charge session on my FCSP set to 80A supplied by a 240V/100A circuit feeding the EVSE via 26’ of #2…..

BTW, the photo below shows my truck is only being delivered 38A because I have yet to find the module to monitor my ER’s second onboard AC-DC charger……

Another view of the charging curve, while I am charging from 80% to 100% in preparation for a 200+ mile day.

The charge rate ramps up quickly to a stable high rate, then as you get closer to max charge the truck side BMS and charge controller slows down the amount of energy being pulled from the EVSE. It is indeed the truck that governs demand. the last chart at 9:41 is the rate of current flowing when the battery is at 98%
