Well, this just happened to me also. Tesla Universal Wall Connector, with built in adaptor. Previously fine.
Tonight, Charging error message on my phone.
Truck charging normal.
any solutions ?

IDK if this relates, but i just recently bought my 2022 Lariat ER 511A Max Tow after turning in my Model Y lease, We have multiple Tesla's in the family, so i had 2 Tesla Wall Chargers, but i kept getting similar issues with random charge errors on the app, but the truck would still charge with a rare red ring error not charging on the Tesla charger using the adapter the truck came with. I bought a new charger (Grizzl-e 48amp) installed outside, so i can charge outside the garage, because the truck doesn't fit in the garage length. I have had no charger error issues with the Grizzle charger, so i dont know if its a tesla charger issue or possibly the adapter causing issues.

A few years back my origional 2017 80amp tesla wall charger started having random issues failing to charge our Tesla's and tesla sent out a mobile tech and after looking into the issue, he stated the charge cable was having a weak ground connection with the vehicle sometimes... So we had the charger cable replaced and that charger has been working fine since with no more errors.

Were you using a Level 2 adapter NACS to J1772, or the Super Charger adapter NACS to CCS1. The one Ford supplied for free will only work on Super Chargers and will fail every time with Tesla Wall Connectors.

I haven’t DCFC’d in months so I’m not sure about that. It happened to me with the J1772 adapter.

Could also do a power cycle on your EVSE.

Hey, so this actually worked for me. I power cycled my Tesla Wall Charger yesterday. When I plugged in last night I didn't get any error.

I’m still getting a Ford Pass “Charging Error” when I used my Tesla Wall Connector at home just now.

It’s hard wired on a 60 amp circuit set to charge at 48;amps. The Wall connector was powered off while I was away. i turned the breaker back on about 1 hour before charging so it was essentially power cycled. The blue light sequence on the truck charge port acted normally and charge started normally, but Ford Pass message showed “Charge Error-F 150”.

additional info: yesterday I charged at our cabin location with my other Tesla Wall Connector with no errors. That charger is on a 50 amp line charging at 40 amps. I don’t remember ever getting the charge error at the cabin.

next time I’ll turn down the output at home to 40 amps and see if it errors again.

Yeah I spoke too soon the other day. I’ve gotten the same error several more times since then.

Try removing all your scheduled charges and then try. For me it’s the schedule that causes the error. Example, plug in at 9pm all good. Starts charging no errors. Plug in at peak and error but then once 9 hits all good charging.

I don't have any scheduled charges set at all. Ford Pass posts a charging error but the truck charges fine and EVSE starts charging immediately as expected. It's only recently that the issue popped up. like everyone else who is posting the same thing.

It has to be a Ford Pass issue.
