While I understand and agree with your point, I wanted to note that HIS and Pro Power are independent systems. Both can work at the same time providing up to 16kW (19.2 kW if you plugged in loads directly to the front as well).
Ooooh I'd be very, very careful about that with no way to synchronize the inverters. It's asking for trouble.

Can the inverter in the HIS actually supply 100A (when it works at all)? The marketing materials available when I bought my Lightning quoted a decidedly lower figure.
The largest inverter option is ~10kW/40A@240V.

That inverter is just for solar right, or is that also for the DC power offload from the truck? If yes I wonder why they even offer the smaller options?

The inverter that converts truck power to AC is 9.6 KW. If it works.

Got it. So I wonder why they offer smaller inverters?

The 40A limit is for the AC output power for all models. There is a separate DC input power limit for solar that varies by model. Higher solar DC input power limit requires a larger solar charge controller (separate from the AC out inverter) that cost more so if you have a smaller solar array you don't need to buy the more expensive models.

So whats the latest consensus on if people's systems are working now or still out of service?

I understand there are some inverter updates and truck software updates that are supposed to fix the majority of issues similar to what i have experienced but i'm not sure if the updates have gone out wide to everyone.

Unfortunately mine still doesn't work, fails the same way, with the latest updates.

How's everyone's system doing?

My system is still failing. Had a power outage last week at night. HIS did not provide power to the house. The charger showed a fault on the light bar.

You and me both. I haven't been able to get anyone to direct me to the law firm. I think it may just be blowing smoke. I'm currently trying to find my own attorney who will take the case.

Any attorney worth his/her weight can determine if a suite has been filed and what it takes to be part of it. The suite would likely be filed in Michigan, since that is where Ford is HQ. Put they should be able to determine that too.

This thread was started in an attempt to attract 39 people to join him in forming a class in order to initiate a lawsuit. AFAIK, it has never been confirmed that he got it off the ground.

I wonder if they even sold 40 HIS systems honestly. I guess they must have.

I had a forum member provide me with a list of attorneys. He was pursuing the lawsuit and compiled a list of people on the forum. His last email to me stated that he had spoken with his dealer and that his dealer spoke with their representative from Ford. A phone call was scheduled with Ford. He hasn't responded to any of my emails, and hasn't updated me on what happened.

My guess is that he has signed a non disclosure with Ford. I believe that several forum members on this thread have disappeared due to non disclosures. Of course this is speculation on my part.

This is the first lawfirm that was listed on our communication. I have not reached out to them yet. Compiling stuff is not my strong suit. And at this point I am not sure how many of us are interested in pursuing this action.

1. Wallace Miller (Chicago, IL):

• Experience: Currently pursuing class action litigation against Ford for defective 10R80 10-speed transmissions in models including the F-150 (2017 and newer). The firm alleges Ford sold vehicles with known defects, causing safety risks and financial losses, which parallels your claim about the HIS.

• Relevance: Their expertise in Ford transmission lawsuits suggests they can handle complex automotive defect cases, including electrical systems like the HIS. They have experience with federal jurisdiction under the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA), which could apply to your case.

• Contact:

• Website: www.wallacemiller.com

• Phone: (312) 261-6190

• Email: [email protected]

• Action: Contact them to discuss the HIS issue, providing details from your list of affected owners. Mention their ongoing Ford lawsuit to gauge their interest in a new class action.

I agree with that conclusion. 1 forum member said he signed a non-disclosure and then disappeared.
