Comma AI self driver assistant On Sale- is it worth it?

I have it with the fitcamx. I used the stock mount and put it as high as possible which blocked the view of the truck hood plus a little bit of the road that was inconsequential.

I now am using the quick release mount that I purchased from @Ajzride and the Comma sits lower, but works just fine. The mount still blocks the same sliver of road right in front of the hood.

@Howard_Scott_Warshaw , I overlooked the part where you asked about power supply... The Comma and Fitcamx pull off of different power sources, so I haven't seen any power issues. The Fitcam uses the mirror harness, the Comma powers from it's harness that goes to the IPMA. There are options to power both with OBD power too, but that introduces some 12volt battery issues when the truck is off.

Out of curiosity, what is the reason to want both? Just the recording quality? If it's not and you just want the recordings I can give you the script I use to automatically copy the videos to my computer, you can do it manually or have it run automatically once a day. I have it to learn about the logs generated but as is you can use it for pulling the video only. The only real issue is the video is broken into clips but even then I'm sure that the script can be modified and merged into one video.

I decided to not install the FitCamX on my 2nd Lightning because it causes the Comma3x to be mounted too low (and Comma specifically says to mount as high as possible). I installed another DashCam and installed my C3X as far up the windshield as possible, hiding most of the screen. All that's visible while driving is the bottom of the screen which is where messages show and I have the screen timeout after 10 seconds (I don't like screens/distractions on my windshield). I, personally, wouldn't want to install the C3X with a FitCamX due to the placement. That being said, my C3X is more valuable to me than the FitCamX which is why I made the switch to another dashcam.

Just as an update, I did manage to get the script to merge the the video files if anyone is interested in using the comma for a dash cam, just let me know and I'll send it.
Prerequisites:
SSH keypair
Github account with your public SSH key posted.
Comma (obviously) with your Github linked
The script is adapted for the way BluePilot stores it's videos but can be adapted to other distros? (is that what they call it?)
A device with available storage, my largest merged video iirc was 8 gb
A device capable of running a bash script (mac, linux, windows with WSL, maybe others)
Wifi for the comma connection
Time, since there is a lot of overhead in my particular setup it takes about 20 min to transfer the videos and start a merge. Ymmv

You shouldn’t wait , the Comma works on every road, unlike BlueCruise that only works on specific roads. You can pull out of your driveway and it will work on your street!
