Now that it feels like Spring in Cincinnati, how do I open the dash vents for ambient outdoor air without any heating or cooling? What about with or without the fan also?

You don't.

Only thing you can do is set the temperature and turn off AC and heat

Sometimes with these newer cars I just want the old fashioned fan speed and temperature dials. The worst is probably temp in the upper 40s to low 50s, short drive and humid (like I just finished a run and am driving home). I don't need heat, I just need a little bit of ambient air to blow on the windshield so that I can see. I don't want to change the temp to low and I don't want the fan blowing loudly. It is a bigger issue with EVs because there is no waste heat, but in this situation I don't need any extra heat. Our Volvo is just as bad if not worse than the lightning. Our phev Volvo has a heated windshield and that fixes the problem all together, but not many cars come with the heated windshield.

With the lightning the best airflow for passive windshield clearing seems to be passenger front window open just a tiny bit and the back of the cab window open a couple inches.

Turn off the heat button, turn off the recirculating button, and turn off the AC. There air will be coming from outside, and will be neither heated nor cooled. See the fan speed for whatever you want.

That’s mostly true. The AC will still get activated if the truck thinks it needs to. I wish it didn’t, but it does.

This was all so much easier in my 2014 F150.

Most important step is avoid the AUTO button, touching it reverts the E-Heat or AC to automatic operation depending on season and ambient outside / cabin temps.
