After latest software update, every time I start my truck is defaults to tow/haul mode. I looked at my settings and no active trailer is detected and I haven’t used this mode in months. Any suggestions? 2022 Lariat.

I was having the opposite problem... Where I have a trailer attached and it defaults to normal mode if I miss the prompt (I found that ridiculous). It does this even thought it knows a trailer is connected and in the main computer. Ford better get their act together and stop trying to be too smart. How about leave the truck in the mode I left it in and be done with it. That worked for 100 years before we had these computers. Stop telling me what you think is best for me.

I have the same issue. I haven't towed a trailer in 2 years. I went in and deleted the trailer I had in there and still have the problem.

Same issue is showing up for me after 26.2.8.3. Oddly the update said "not successful" within the truck but the app reported successful. Sync has definately changed. I've removed all trailers, ensured that it is showing no active trailer, reset the APIM, and even pulled the negative 12v for 15 minutes. Still having the same issue. Noticed that the integrated trailer module recall update was available (ITRM-26.B04) but will not update (hangs on "preparing update").

Try reattaching and selecting your trailer. Then deselect and remove it again. Alternatively, reattach, respect then detach and then select No Trailer Attached.
