The sound is present whenever the truck is on. Seems to come from under the steering wheel. I can hear it while driving too.

My Lightning makes more “electrical sounds” when parked than I am accustomed to hearing with previous EVs. Sounds similar to your recording but it’s hard to tell. I tried turning off pro power to see if that’s causing it and it doesn’t help. Could this be the inverter making the noise?

It does seem like it's coming in through the firewall. There is a similar noise from the wheel well area of both ends while charging.

Mine sounds like this. I would say it’s normal.

Mine sounds like this and I can hear it from the cabin inside.
I notice the loudest comes from the front passenger wheel well, when in R N D.
Is it normal???

Try adjusting the blower speed or turn off completely to confirm or eliminate it as a suspect.

Definitely not an HVAC blower, because it was completely off.

Can't really tell how loud it is from the recording, but there is usually a pump type sound that comes from that area. Presumably it's the coolant pump. It's louder on the outside (but not objectionable).

I tried HVAC off, A/C off, blower speeds, and screens in calm mode. The sound is present whenever the truck is in accessory or drive mode.

Could be a muted sound coming from the circulation pump(s) and drive train chiller compressor, are you in a warm climate?

I'm in a warm climate. It also starts right when the truck turns on. Not sure if that rules out the battery cooling system.

It seems like it should be possible to sound proof these high frequencies.

Isn't that pedestrian noisemaker more of a low pitched drone? The posted recording is heard even in park, any time the truck is turned on.

Mine makes a similar sound. Often when pro-power is on. Sometimes when charging, often when driving, but not all the time. It reminds me of the buzz from the ballast on a fluorescent light.
