Early lightning Order but no production yet

I ordered my carbonized gray Lightning XLT (minimum Canadian Lightning which is essentially an XLT 312A) with SR battery, max tow package (added for battery extra protection since it isn't that much), all terrain tire plus a couple minor stuffs back in January 14 thru my dealer. I can see my order status at ford.ca but til date, I have not seen a production schedule nor VIN # yet.
Could it be XLT 312A SR is somewhat a unicorn amongst all models, hence it is relegated to the last priority in production? Or is it common for some early order folks to still not have a production schedule? Maybe I am just starting to get angst especially after seeing some Canadian orders getting their VIN # & production schedules as well as seeing some of our American brothers getting their delivery. I sure hope I can get my truck no later than late summer.

I have a reservation in the first 20 mins, and a Jan 28th order date. Not only do I still not have a build date, but my dealer says they don't even have one truck scheduled yet (I am 6th on the list). Also in Canada (BC)

Yes same here, same XLT and colour but with ER battery. Reserved early, but wasnt called by dealer until April 11th 2022 to place order...well after apparently XLTs were "sold out". Salesman said I dont know where you got that info, dont read things online its all BS! We'll see....

What model did you order on April 11th? XLTs were sold out–in US, anyway–before Wave 4 order invites went our on February 17th.

As I said, salesman put order through regardless, but also things tend to work a little different in Canada, and he really believes I will get one in the next few months, I have no confidence in that.

I think you have every right to feel skeptical. The only thing I can suggest is to check your online order page in your Ford account, and maybe give the Lightning people a call. (800) 334-4375 for US, anyway.

Lol, I check the page multiple times a day!! Its becoming an addiction.

If you can see your order, you should be OK and going to get scheduled late in the 2022 run.

That was a really late call by your dealer to order. As Long as you got your order in and paid your $1K downpayment and you can see order # & status at Ford website, i think you should get your 2022 lightning this year. Only question is how soon. ?

We have a fixed number of listings to track (366 records) this takes a lot of our time on a daily basis and to read thread conversations, the December orders are all the Demo models for the dealers order number F001 on blue colored window stickers
