Updating the vehicle in FDRS to any level does not currently fix the OTA issue. You get the updated modules, but as it stands will have to update them again in FDRS.

it fixed a lot of the technical issues that prevented them from sending updates.
Now they just need to improve their rollout strategy!

So the below are what seem to unlock BC? Those that have enabled BC recently, can you post your strategy/calibration? Also, Any idea on asbuilt data changes?

Taking the truck in next week to have dealer update. they say they just hook up the computer and it updates if necessary. Are there suggestions that I need to make to make sure their system finds all the modules that show up when the Angels on this forum enter our VINs?

Honestly, what are we going to focus on now?
We have been collectively focusing on BlueCruise for almost a year!

This thread will live on as others want BC but never get the OTA updates resolved.

I’m interested in the future of BC like being able to use it to exit the highway, I think I read that under Wikipedia or something about Ford Power Ups future.

Wow, I'm jealous of everyone getting their BlueCruise while I'm still hoping to get my 1.7.1 update. I do not "need" bluecruise for another 2 months for our cross-country road trip, and I'm not loving the idea of spending $500 on the mongoose + a Ford license. A couple of questions:

- The nano is much cheaper than the mongoose, but I understand it is not as good. Can it do the updates I need to get past my 1.7.1 failed update so I will at least start getting OTA updates again?
- Do we know if there will be an OTA fix for 1.7.1 or will the fix be a trip to the dealer?
- Anyone willing to sell their mongoose once they are done?

I used the nano for tons of updates over a couple of months. I was tenacious and read ALL documentation at the beginning of the thread. So I was armed with the "tricks", like avoiding network scans as much as possible.

But then came the just released CCM update and it exposed the nano as incapable of that very specific update. It's unique in a critical way.

The Mongoose fixed the problem the nano caused and the rest was smooth sailing.

So to answer your question as best I can, you CAN get your truck up to date all the way through and up to a few days ago.
And yea, maybe your truck will be healthy and able to receive the last updates OTA.

"Their system" is EXACTLY the same system we are using. In fact, WE can see what they are doing to YOUR truck.

Edit: By the way, if your dealership really does update your truck for you to the extent that Bluecruise is enabled? They are the best service department that I have ever heard of. That would be incredibly generous of their time and $.

My dealer doesn’t do a scan and update any available updates. Not sure why. They only update when it’s to address a specific problem on the work order.

That's likely because it's the only way that they get paid for their efforts from Ford.

That gets un-greyed out along with APIM updates. Which there have been a number of. (if I understand what you are asking)

That issue was resolved a ways back.

Keep in mind that this thread feels like a year has passed since it started.

Yes they are part of them. I just completed them, along with a GWM and *APIM and I have Blue Cruise working

Even if you get past 1.7.1 like I did, I think you'll still need to manually roll some updates to start getting OTA's again as we are too far behind.

As I only have a Nano I need to avoid CCM/IPMA. I think I can do IPC though??

At that point I'm hoping OTAs at least take back over for the ones that are not safe for the Nano.

I haven’t seen anything since I got past the 1.7 I just have a peasant Lairiat without Bluescruise. Lol I think I need to trade my truck in and start over.

I think it's a problem on the Ford OTA server side. I was failed at 1.7.1 on 2021-12-24 and updated manually to 2.3.0 equivalent. Have yet to receive an OTA since and OTA still shows me flagged as "1.7.1 failed" with no change since.

I highly suspect those with failed 1.7.1 are "blacklisted from future OTA push until Ford clears up their end.
