I finally got access to an Android phone to play around with this and I’m somewhat surprised that the weaknesses of this implementation are not being discussed more. Replacing a charger seems to be pretty decent if there is only one charge stop in your route plan, but as soon as there are multiple stops in the plan, the option to replace a charger disappears, and it just becomes a take it or leave it proposition. I’ll be making a trip tomorrow running Google maps on Android Auto and ABRP on my iPhone, side by side, just to compare. I think I’ll force ABRP to use the same chargers as Google Maps chooses, so I can compare the accuracy of the SOC on arrival estimates etc.Was just playing with the google maps integration and it seems a bit clunky. Would be nice if it gave you the option to prefer a charging network and replace a specific charger when selecting it similar to ABRP. Still seems that ABRP with a dongle is a better option for extended trips.

You mean I have to start driving? I’ve built several routes and if there’s more than one charger on the route, there is no replace option on the screen. If you click “edit stops”, it only shows the waypoints and destinations, not the charging stops. I guess I’ll know more tomorrow after I’ve gone 300+ milesYou have to start a route and then you can adjust them if you have multiple stops. Still annoying
I played with it some more and can report that there is no ability to replace a charging stop on a route with more than 1 charging stop. There is also no ability to set an arrival state of charge, if you have any stops other than the final destination on your route. Both of those options disappear as soon as you start making the route realistic. I did figure out how to force Google Maps to only use Tesla NACS chargers, which makes this weekends travels more optimal. You mean I have to start driving? Please do write the review. I also saw from Martin Rebuilds that ABRP updated their UI. Just making you aware Incase you need to test on the current ABRP UI.I played with it some more and can report that there is no ability to replace a charging stop on a route with more than 1 charging stop. I think that after this weekend, I’ll build a summary of the good, bad and the ugly for Google Maps on AA, Apple Maps on CarPlay, and ABRP Premium, which works on either. It might be helpful. Based on what I’ve seen so far, Apple and Google both need to get some EV drivers on their development teams. They are both missing critical features.
You don't need to physically start driving. Just need to hit start. Then select the little pin icon beside the magnifying glass, select a station you want to replace and hit replace. Certainly not the most intuitive or anywhere close to the features of abrp though.I played with it some more and can report that there is no ability to replace a charging stop on a route with more than 1 charging stop. The main one is that you don't get the integration with android auto or carplay so you need an obdii dongle and can't have it on your center screen. Is it possible that some of ABRP features are limited or disabled if using the free vs paid version?
