No EV routing in Google maps

Yeah it works on some and not on others. You got lucky. I would play with it and try to find out how but...it does not work on my truck.

Well, there's something else that needs to be fixed in this system then. The number of charge stations I've seen out of order both in person and in YouTube videos with these trucks seems to be a fairly significant percentage. How bad would it suck if you're desperately trying to get to that next charge station only to find when you make it there that you can't charge?

Oh, and for whatever it's worth, my 6/25 build does seem to show EV charging when I connect my S25 Ultra to it. I didn't make any settings changes, it just automatically shows EV charge routing if I plan a trip, and shows other info in my gauge cluster and on the infotainment screen to help as well.

Imagine pulling into a location with 12 open chargers just as the tech pulls the master breaker to replace a fuse...

Imagine pulling into a location to find it full, going to the next location and finding it full, and repeating this until finally waiting at location #4. Yeah, CA is fun...

Imagine pulling into a 4 charger EA location, one working, and negotiating with the line to a) create order and b) get people to agree to only charge enough to get to the next charger, and c) calling EA and being told that the executive suite told them not to reboot any of these old chargers because they might bring down the whole site...

If you're taking a trip, you'll want to plan the trip in ABRP, lookup every charging location in PlugShare ahead of time and day of trip, AND lookup the charging location in its proprietary app to see price (including possible time of day pricing) as well as operational status.

No, there is not one app that does all this.
No, there is no app that takes COST into account.
Yes, some apps do offer takes on whether it's operational, or how many are open, but you trust those at your own peril.

Should it be easier? Yes. Is this much advanced from 2021/2022? Absolutely. I remember contacting hotel chains like Marriot, Hilton and others to include EV charging as a filter in their apps and websites. Now they do.

After reading this thread I've gathered that if I have update 10.1.1 yet don't have Karaoke then update 10.0.1 was skipped correct? I am unable to find either of these updates in my list but I do have Karaoke if that means anything. I did find update SYNC-25.2.1.6.5 in my update list that apparently is relevant to getting EV working in Google Maps. Should I schedule an appointment with my dealer regarding this (TSB_25-2105) or just wait for an OTA? Thanks

I don't believe that TSB applies to this. People have had it done and it fixed carplay things but not EV routing. @Ford Motor Company has acknowledged the issue and a fix is coming Soon™

Interesting to me is the fact that Android Auto can communicate with the truck but still no route planning.

I now have a, new to me S22 but still no route planning or walk away lock. Work arounds are getting easier but mainly due to numerous trips over similar routes of 300 to 700 miles. Still disappointed with the lack of AA route planning because it sounds great but I always have to add how pleased with the truck I am. I even made out with level 1 for a few months. Road tripping will be a bit of a pain for the foreseeable future but local driving and home charging is great.

This is the way. I still, to this day, for longer trips anyway, plan my route in ABRP, check suggested stops in with PlugShare, then navigate with Google to each stop. I just dont fully trust googles suggested stops yet.

That is strange. They are the exact same packages. 24 and 25 unify on Gateway and APIM.

Well that was fast! I got the update last night and am now finally enjoying Android Auto with EV routing! Thanks for the fix Ford!

I just just received this update on my 2024 Flash but no EV routing in google maps yet

The fix seems to be very specific to 2025 F150 Lightning models with the 123kWh batteries (see the screenshot I posted a few posts earlier). This is what I have and the update fixed my issue. Maybe other model years have a different issue with AA EV routing???
