Clearly if you order a vehicle with a refundable deposit, there is no binding contract.

Very exciting for those who had to wait for 2023+ and helps those between trim levels to consider going higher. Well at least Pro to XLT/XLT+ with the 80k truck limit.

Well shoot I was hoping the final wording of this bill wouldn't come out until after Ford finalized their 2023 pricing. Get ready for a big huge jump in MSRP!

Yes but would the deposit paid to the dealer when you order be considered binding? I sure hope so!
I guess the day before the act becomes valid(i.e. the bill is signed) you could give the dealer $5 as a non refundable "deposit" to meet the binding contract requirement.

Ugh, have a MSRP of $80,689 on my invoice. Really looking forward to @TaxmanHog's take on this as I am not a public accountant. Wondering about seeing if dealer can still add FCSP Delete and then I could just buy it separately...
MSRP on 2022 Lariat+ is $77,474. Options, Accessories, Destination are not part of MSRP, I don't think. Maybe for 2023, Ford will de-couple craptacular FCSP and keep MSRP under $80,000.

There is a debate on whether MSRP counts as MSRP or not. Some references think Destination does count, some don't. (It seems like ford rolls in Destination into total MSRP).

What really matters is what the IRS thinks.(Which may be different than how Ford says is MSRP) Haven't found via IRS rules what constitutes MSRP.

Pro and XLT MSRP increases incoming.
Yep. The smart move for Ford is to raise the prices on PRO and XLT and slightly lower Lariat(to get below $80k)

Platinum is too far over $80k to worry about...

I would guess for '23 that the Lariat SR stays under the cap, but not the Lariat ER.

No one seems to know this answer. Some say what the MSRP is on the window sticker which includes delivery.

Well this is a freaking curveball... order is in place for delivery yet this year at Total MSRP of $80,759.00. Gonna be real pissed if I dont get any EV credit after this.

From Fords order summary "Total MSRP: Is Base MSRP plus Total of Options, Destination and Delivery Charges. Excludes taxes, title, and license fees. May not be the price at which the vehicle is sold in the trade area."
