I still don't have it either. I think those that are seeing it have iOS and perhaps in a beta type program.

I'm on android and no beta, ppob works just fine on mine.

PPOB magically just showed up.

Well I am just about to install but today I got this error when I went to turn on the bed outlets to complete the once a month ground fault test. So even if the pro power option shows up, I have bigger issues to tend to.

Edit: No pro power option, no message under alerts and eventually this warning showed up in the app messages.

It does appear there was some font changes in 6.3.

Well this error went away, then it got cold out and it came back this past Thursday when I checked to see if it was still working... but this time it didn't leave any app messages like last time. Then everything was back working again... And my saved app messages from the first time I got this message mysteriously all disappeared ...

So look here what showed up. Coincidence? .... Android and profile shows my model.

Nifty new bug: deleting a vehicle alarm triggered message doesn't actually clear it from the home screen. Required not just app force stop, but also cache clear to get that old alert box off my home screen ....

Seeing some samples of Android users getting the PPOB feature in Ford App prompted me to get out to the truck and exercise the on/off switches and run the ground fault test & reset to see if I could trigger data to the cloud and thereby cause information to show in the app.

My wife's Ford App 6.3.0 is showing it but mine continues to lack the feature, I wonder if I were to fully delete the app (clear cache & data profiles before doing so) then redownload it would help, did anyone already try that?? I hate having to go through the motions of reconfiguring the PAAK and then find that I'm still stuck.

@TaxmanHog, I just checked my bosses phone after reading your post. She is an invited secondary driver. Her app does not have the pro power showing. I went and force stopped and cleared cache and still it is not showing.

All the app messages were still showing after clearing the cache, the new outlet test today and even a message from August about Alexa service changes, but yet all the failed bed outlet not activating were all gone. Some funny stuff happening on the ford server side.

I did some digging into the API JSON payloads via home assistant. I have a 2023 Lariat ER with the 9.6kw PPOB.

There is a value being returned under vehicle profile labeled proPowerZones, mine is set to 0, and PPOB doesn’t show in the app. There is another value labeled proPowerApplink, mine is set to false.

oddly enough there is yet another value labeled proPowerOnBoard and its set to display.

I think I’m just going to use my home assistant setup and build my own PPOB/Zone lighting control.

I'm going to delete all driver profiles from the trucks Sync screen, then clear all configurations in the APP, uninstall the app, reboot the phone and install a clean version, then repeat the motions to configure PAAK.

I'm up in the air as to the root cause of this disparity in performance, I have noticed that Samsung sent out two phone OS updates within the past week plus, they might have fudged something.

I've notice the Norton-360 install was playing havoc with my all mail clients I use on my phone as well, I ditched the N-A/V for the moment, hoping I don't get any malware before doing a clean install of that.

Developers doing A/B testing should only do that in the DEV domain, NOT PRODUCTION domain!

Don't feel bad @TaxmanHog , you're not alone. Replaced my old Android phone with a new Pixel 10 Pro XL a week ago so obviously a new Ford install. 6.3.0 and not PPOB in the app. Just a moment ago, uninstalled the Ford app, rebooted phone, and reinstalled the Ford app. Still 6.3.0 and no PPOB in the app.

I called ford app support and am even more confused now. Their website says “With the return of Pro Power Onboard into the Ford app, you can access a view-only mode in the app. This will allow you to see your on/off status, power consumption, and any related warnings/errors. Additional features and functions are expected in later releases.”

Support initially said that it was removed from my model specifically and won’t be coming back, I pushed some and got a supervisor who then said with the release of 6.x it still wasn’t officially released and other reports may be people on beta versions. I also asked about zone lighting and got a similar answer. I’ve never had either but would love PPOB status especially during a power outage.

So, what’s the correct answer here? Was PPOB status taken away, given back and taken away again?

FWIW, it was a good conversation with the supervisor and I suggested that they troll social media as that seems to be a better source of actual performance/user reports than internal documents, and expressed my displeasure and disappointment with the recent news.

Fords call center for app support has some comms issue when it comes to being able to hear their reps. Seems like what ever country they are in (suspect South America somewhere) they have one way audio issues. I could hear the hold music perfectly but their rep would drop every other half of a word.

24 Platinum here and on EAP. Never had PPOB show up on my Ford App (iOS 26.3 Ford 6.3)
