I apologize if this question has been asked recently - I did try to search for it but perhaps I put in the wrong keywords.

I’ve had my truck barely a month - 2025 Lightning Platinum Super Crew with all bells & whistles (I only say this in case anyone knows of a potential feature conflict). For about three hundred miles now (about a week), the app on my phone (updated to iOS 26 version yesterday) is no longer functional. The battery percentage is stuck at 77% and showing 222 miles range left. The odometer on the app is stuck at 981 miles when there is in fact 1289. I can neither lock nor unlock the doors with my phone nor can I operate the remote start or other Bluetooth controls. In the morning, the truck no longer illuminates when I walk towards it either but I don’t know if that is a separate issue.

I’m the first one to buy a Lightning from my dealership so I highly doubt any of the mechanics have the particular knowledge skillset of the electrical components in this vehicle. (Note: I had an electrical issue in one of my other cars and the dealership was completely oblivious - my solution was found on Reddit of all places.)

Has anyone experienced this recently with their truck or perhaps in the past? Any solution(s) that have worked for you?

You can try pulling the negative on the 12v. Had to do that once when the app got stuck.

Over the past couple of day's I've noticed periodic lack of responsiveness, refresh requests taking forever, request to remote start timing out, and this morning departure time failed to execute.

I wonder if this problem is on the server / cloud side of the system than our app?

Eventually the functionality resumes.

I'm looking forward to seeing if my lunch time departure event kicks off ontime, this morning I verified that the conditions were showing on the Sync screen, these settings were created with Ford App yesterday afternoon.

I'm willing to wager it's probably connected to the recent AWS or Azure outages. No way that Ford servers don't rely on at least one of those services. I wasn't able to update my departure times the past few days but suddenly started working last night.

Refresh requests are still failing this morning, eventually it times out with a "Failed to Update" message.

yeah guessing they're still having issues. My location hasn't updated since yesterday and manual refreshes are failing as you mentioned.

The afternoon departure event did not activate, but I was able to remote start.

Now that the truck is running, the refresh action succeeded w/i 2 seconds.

I guess it’s been more than a week… (see images).

Would a uninstall app / reinstall do anything or is the SYNC system on the truck itself faulting?

In general, the Ford app works poorly, lacks common sense features and can't be depended on. I have to frequently close the app, then reopen to get it to update status for charging SOC.

COMPARED TO THE TESLA app its awful.

I charge a lot with solar and due to the limitations of method of charging, I need to adjust the max SOC by a single percentage, at times, to meet the challenge. I can DEPENDABLY do this with Tesla but the Ford app won't even allow it. There isn't any "time stamp" or other indication of the age of the data being displayed in the App. Why? Only a few more lines of code to clean this up.

Very frustrating and embarrassing for Ford..... BUT, I simply can not haul a sheet of plywood in the Tesla...... ;-|

Well went outside and started the truck. Everything seems to be right with the world again. Noticed WAL apparently didn't work either after I went to get the comma out yesterday morning since it was still unlocked.
