If you are not familiar with him. He does a lot of reviews on Toyotas. He is typically very in depth on the mechanicals and knowledgable regarding servicing etc. Pretty overall positive take. Makes me feel good about my recent purchase of a 2024 Flash.

Agreed, it was a pretty positive review, especially for that guy, who tends to be pretty critical (which I like and appreciate). Actually I thought it was so positive that I was surprised at the end that he really didn't recommend the truck ... I think maybe he doesn't like EVs so much.

Our other vehicle is a Toyota Highlander so I’ve seen his videos before. They’re usually very good and he is truly a master mechanic.

I was surprised too of his final recommendation. Maybe a little job insecurity due to his background. I think you can come to your own conclusion based on the remainder of the video.

I have to say, I’ve seen more…comprehensive reviews. One example - he folded the shifter down, but didn’t flip the workspace platform over to show why you would fold the shifter down. His gripe about the tailgate…I get it, but he also failed to mention that higher trims have power tailgates. Lastly, for his emphasis that the Flash is a work truck, he didn’t talk about things like the exterior lighting system, cleats in the bed, ports for rack systems, towing capacity, etc.

Definitely not his strong suit in doing a review of the actual features of the truck. But his explanation of the cooling systems and mechanicals is more in depth than most. Makes me feel good about my 2024 Flash purchase with the damped tailgate, fold out workspace, keypad, locking differential and larger battery. The 2025 Flash trim doesn't have the fold out workspace so he couldn't demonstrate it.

Mechanic myself, 40+ years and I agree with all of that except the electric part, he's not into it as he stated, I am, if it has a warning light attached, controls the climate, or anything electrical, it found its way to my stall for repair.
